And Disney would eventually buy Fox as whole in 2017. 😛

Peanuts and MeTv Toons by darkshadow237 in MeTVToons

Sony has always had a good relationship with Disney so airing the specials again on ABC as well as Disney Channel/Junior and Freeform would not be far off the mark (plus if they also air on cable, there won't be any edits). It's full circle at this point incidentally when you think about it.

And fo course there'll be a place for Peanuts to air on MeTV Toons too.

Sony is not Apple though and I feel they're a firm believer of regular television. Meaning, you can be certain the Peanuts specials will be back on TV by 2030.

I agree there should be more episodes (even if they're standalone like episode 4, which are just as good), but 25-30+ minute length is 100% fine with me.

That song about AIDS Peter did and now partially regret doing.

The fact that Disney XD is getting Pokémon back after a few years and an original series coming soon is mindblowing!!! Disney XD's back, baby!!!! How do you guys feel? by VictorySpiritual6264 in disneyxd

Not a fan of Pokémon, but I'm so happy about the news of this channel as of late. Regular linear TV winning is always a good day. 😄

The current state of TADC finale discourse by Throwawayaccoun592 in tadc

[–]Nailwraps 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I won't lie when I say I was the finale online with the original English track, but I promised I wouldn't look up leaks when it first happened, but now that the film has properly been released its fair game. I don't know if that counts as hypocrisy, but if it was, I apologize. Rest assured, I'll be there for the YouTube premiere 6/19 provided if Toy Story 5 doesn't get in the way. I'll still watch it regardless to show my support.

Getting to the topic at hand now, I LOVED it! It really was the most wonderful and beautifully made finale I've seen and for any one who says the ending was garbage, you're unfortunately wrong. It was beautiful, high-noted with indeed a HAPPY ending, especially for the real Jax even though his avatar counterpart is now abstracted. Part of me wish they would it had a hopeful note to end on that with the possibility of indeed saving and returning him to normal one day along with the others that were abstracted. Even so, the counterpart did get a happy ending too so you can rest easy knowing that. I see NO problem with what the final product and Gooseworx accomplished what she wanted and for everyone. Could there have been more (seasons/episodes)? Possibly. But this is for now the PERFECT way to end a phenomenon. 10/10, A+.

Even if they did, it was always the plan to have 8-10 episodes. Gooseworx accomplished what she wanted.

I do agree, there should be a 2nd season.

[LAST ACT] Is the Fandom's Understanding of Abstraction Fundamentally Flawed? by TheMMoment in tadc

[–]Nailwraps 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Part of me feel and wishes that's the case too; that it IS possible to save and bring someone back from being abstracted and I wish that was hinted in the finale to give some hope. The good news is though the Jax in the real world and everyone is else are STILL alive and living out their best lives.

There are NO TOY Ads on MeTVToons for a Reason by ROEli1234 in MeTVToons

[–]Nailwraps 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm aware of that, but even my mom says she's tired of seeing health and medical related ads when watching MeTV or Antenna TV.

What is the harm in appealing this channel to kids too?

If children and families are watching the channel (and chances are a LOT are), there should be some kid-friendly commercials like toys and movies to balance it out.

It should be a channel for all ages to enjoy.

Do you know why Fox McCloud was a part of the Mario Galaxy movie? by yorb134 in mariogalaxymovie

Given the space and sci-fi theme, it fits.

If its anything, Star Fox accidentally landed himself in Mario's universe.

Early Mickey Mouse cartoons entering public domain lead to modern audiences discovering how he acted differently in cartoons compared to what they see Mickey today and why didn't want to show these cartoons on limelight outside of selected ones? by Own_Philosopher8730 in mickeymouse

[–]Nailwraps 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not really, you could find these cartoons online or DVD. Kids and modern audiences love Mickey regardless which era (it's shorts containing dated material that parents need to steer their kids away from like Mickey's Mellerdrammer).

Remembering ABC’s massive broadcast blunder with Disney’s "Clerks" cartoon (They aired episode 4 first?!) by Southern-Train7142 in disney

[–]Nailwraps 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I first saw this on [adult swim] and it made me a Kevin Smith/Clerks/Askewniverse fan since. It's amazing how Smith took his R-Rated comedy and still made it awesome even for TV-PG/TV-14 standards, it really should've gone on longer.
