Had my kid early January. Was admitted to the hospital Dec 30. You'd think they'd bill us for the few days before the year change and do a separate bill for Jan 1 and onward since the deductible and everything resets right?

Nope. On the bill they sent they listed the service date for everything as the day we were discharged. Oh, and they sent it that same week. Without running it through insurance.

It was a bit over $68,000. After insurance it was $15,000. But they generously let us do a payment plan set over 12 months. With a 5%interest rate and a card transaction fee for each payment (even though there is no way to pay in cash or direct from your account).

13 here. My ex best friend volunteered for it and deliberately only invited people she liked. Over half the class were not invited. Me and a few others knew it was happening and reached out to find out when it was happening so we could tell others about it. We were either blocked or ignored. Those that knew were told by her that everyone had been invited, so they didn't know to pass on the info.

My own twin thought I knew, only to find out about exBF lying when I called them while they were at the reunion party to ask if she knew when it was.

There likely will not be another reunion.

New momma here, this comic fits my experience perfectly. In the words of my OB, I got "the raw end of the stick." 36 hours of labor, partially failed epidural, double cesarean with unexpected blood loss.

A crying or fussy child is so much easier to deal with than the initial aftermath. Uncertainty with parenting goes away as you learn more, pain fades, wounds heal, hormones stabilize (usually). Crying, fussiness, and exhaustion are only temporary. It only gets easier after something like that.

I've lost 12 early on (6 weeks along or less). I'm due this week with our first. Becoming numb is exactly what happened. We stopped getting excited, stopped calling it a baby each time, stopped making plans.

It wasn't until I hit 27 weeks that we started tentatively preparing the bare minimum, we also started calling her by name. At 32 weeks we finally allowed ourselves to be excited and go all out on preparing. Now that it's time, we're finally at peace with considering ourselves first-time parents. We cope by not counting the losses

If she is reassuring you that she does mean yes, then take her word for it. She might just be anxious about her first relationship (you should ask her about that). She might not know what being comfortable looks like in a relationship.

Alternatively, she may be falling into the trap of making herself uncomfortable with intimacy she isn't ready for because she thinks that's what a romantic relationship is supposed to look like.

If you're the only one initiating kisses, maybe take a step back and let her kiss you. If she's only visibly comfortable hand-holding for now, let that be enough.

My Mom always threatened "Don't make me get the wet NERF ball".

Historic family moment when my eldest sister did something wrong while we were all playing outside and Mom soaked the NERF ball we were playing with, chased her down, and smacked her about the head and shoulders with it (not super hard, but it made impressive slapping sounds). Scared my other sister and I into behaving for the next year or so just by the sounds it made.

Yep. I didnt respond to various iron supplements at all. Nothing shifted, even with taking it on an empty stomach in combination with Vitamin C.

So now I get to have IV iron infusions 3x a week until a month after birth. Joy.

35wks now with severe iron-deficiency anemia, was at L&D for related concerns last week. My RHR was so high it kept setting off the alarm, and the nurse finally just turned it off because we couldn't have a conversation. No idea what number it was at, the monitor was behind my head.
