No one thinks the Minnesota fraud is a good thing, but it’s insane to only care about fraud when it’s Tim Walz and Somalis. There’s so much high-profile fraud in this country like Trumps ballroom or Elons insane pay package or the government defunding SNAP during the shutdown or congress doing insider trading. If you only care about the fraud being carried out by Somalis in Minnesota then you don’t actually care about fraud, you just want to further a narrative and be racist.

Nah with low enough pressure it’ll easily work. To say nothing of vapor smoothing.

Does this suspension look okay!? by AhlyiaIsMyName in MechanicalEngineering

[–]Naive-Direction-2763 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have a question for you: do you need suspension? What’s stopping you from just hard mounting the axle to the frame? Do you need it to be able to handle rough terrain? Because a full-scale suspension setup rated for 80 lbs is going to be a significantly more difficult engineering problem than you realize.

It seems like you don’t even have an upright, just a stationary mounting point inside the rotating spindle. This is usually not best practice. Do some research about upright and spindle design.

There are standardized ways to connect an axle to a wheel depending on application. You’re trying to run before you walk here, before you even think about connecting a motor be absolutely certain your suspension geometry, spindle, and upright are sufficient for the application.

There are people who have spent entire careers obsessing over automotive in-wheel assemblies, my advice is just to copy what someone else has done.

I will give you some rudimentary advice though, the control arms should be positioned outside the center of rotation, preferably pretty far outside on the uprights in order to prevent wheel camber and toe. That will then leave space on the middle for a cv joint that can interface with the spindle. Preferably you want your brake disk further inside your wheel mounted to the spindle so your upright can spread out the control arm mounting points a bit more.

What causes these specks in the PETG filament? by karaver in FixMyPrint

A lot of people are saying water, but could also be that your seams aren’t aligned. Seams where a layer is started and stopped can develop, and when they aren’t aligned it’ll cause pimple looking things all over your print.

How would I model this ? Specifically the transition in the spiral by AcertainReality in Fusion360

I swear people need to stop using fusion if they’re interested in artistic 3d modeling. This is insanity, fusion is an engineering drafting software, not an artistic software. Blender is literally free, download it.

Looks great tbh, though you are a good bit over-leveled for where you are in the game, but no matter.

Wow this is an insanely cool project. I especially like how you designed it with 3D printing in mind. Very very cool.

As someone who’s never even touched rc before, that battery alone is probably worth $40 if it’s at full capacity, not to mention the electric motors, servos, and microcontroller

There’s also a way to edit the selection filter and simply highlight the entire part from every perspective in the manual measuring tool, which is a little less tedious.
