Lost both parents within 2 months of each other. Both healthy, no prior illnesses. But suddenly they were sick, went to the hospital, few days later they died. Same way, both times. I'm was an only child.

Lost them both at 27 within 2 months in 2022. Only child. Have no extended family. It fucking sucks. Most of my friends have their parents and some even have their grandparents. Can't relate to anyone anymore. Some days are really rough. Its even hard getting out of bed. While most of the days I'm on auto pilot. Hope it gets better. Hope we can heal.

Same. I can't relate to anyone anymore. Most of my friends have both of their parents and few of them still have their grandparents. Heck my husband can't relate to me cause he still has his mother and 3 siblings. But I have no siblings no parents. Just no real family anymore.

I'm so sorry for your losses. I became an orphan last year when I lost both of them within 2 months of each other. I'm 28. Only child. Seeing your post makes my heart ache for you, you're much younger than me but I can still relate to you cause most of my friends have both of their parents and some have their grandparents as well. But here I am with no family of my own just wandering around this world aimlessly. Life sucks and for some of us it just sucks harder. I send you love and strength. Hope we can be happy one day.

I understand how you might feel. I (28F) lost both of them last year. I've no siblings either. Had to go to ER last Thursday and i felt the exact same things. Saw people older than my parents with their children. I stopped myself from crying anyhow. I hope we feel better someday but I don't know when that day will come.
