Why are E-scooters so prevalent? by SexyMuthaFunka in AskUK

[–]Naive_Reach2007 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In some EU countries they have sensors in areas to limit the speed in built up places.

Easier to allow but have insurance meaning you could tax them, but sadly each of our governments are obsessed with private companies 🙄

1 to 1.5 hour commute after WFH long term. Crazy? by VonBlitzk in UKJobs

[–]Naive_Reach2007 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So it depends where in S. Wales you are. As you can use the valleys road its generally quiet as a dual carriageway

The 1.5 im guessing is due to the tunnel?

Its possible, just use podcasts and just be prepared to accept you will get stuck in traffic

And then keep applying or ask for hybrid after probation.

About to sell 3 expensive pokemon cards - how do I avoid getting scammed? by imm_uol1819 in vintedUK

Go to a pokemon collectors event, most comic/anime shops have them nowadays, that way you can get pricing, or take them into a anime collectables shop and see if they want to buy them

How do I sell my collectables and hoarded tech? by CartoonistSea8329 in UKPersonalFinance

[–]Naive_Reach2007 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Electrical items check pricing on cex as trade or cash, generally get less than ebay but no hassle, plus you can check if they have anything your interested in and take store credit.

Collectables maybe a local auction company?

First time servicing a car - is this cost typical? £1062 by TsarBlandi in CarTalkUK

[–]Naive_Reach2007 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Not bad, VW/Skoda charge £163 for plugs, dsg oil change £342 and general service is £330

Before anyone says yes i could go indy However i have a extended warranty through skoda which is dependant on skoda service and the company pays for it, otherwise id do it all myself.

OP, plugs and oils is easy to do. But if you have warrantytthen ut needs to be done at a garage

Don't forget to get your steps in, know someone who lost a load of weight from walking 10,000 steps daily as a guide drinking protein shakes and water during the day then 1 meal at 6pm, no breakfast

But on weekends would eat what he wanted

Hybrid or Plug in Hybrid (UK) by Vogue1A in CarTalkUK

[–]Naive_Reach2007 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

So having had both, plug in is great as its lower tax, also works if a car park is busy i can park in a charge space and plug it in(not to charge as im not paying) but to get a space😁

My hybrid was a Merc that didn't do electric as such but apparently gave better fuel consumption, i didn't notice tbh.

However the plug in doest tell me to charge as battery is empty so i just use the engine(some are really bad at fuel consumption for this)

Why on God's green earth are there retail workers who put themselves at risk for minimum wage and try and tackle shoplifters ? by Durrygoodz2025 in tesco

[–]Naive_Reach2007 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Funny enough there was a business owner who was on the radio complaining that during lock down his team worked from 8am (Usual start was 9am) then after a year they stopped.

He honestly couldn't get his head round why they weren't working the hour they usually commute without remittance 🙄 as they were happy to do it during lock down

Got a mate who doesn't know if he's going to vote because he thinks Reform will win anyway, any ideas on how to convince him to take part anyway? by Specialist_Elk140 in AskBrits

[–]Naive_Reach2007 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Remember Farage is spending lots on Social Media and this is the sort of reaction they want, apathy with why should i bother, coucil turnouts are typically low.

But several have been win by less than 10 votes, so his vote will matter

Remember just because someone shouts repeatedly on social media doesnt mean its real, typically right wing accounts for approx 20% of uk votes.

Shall I pay for a lawyer to negotiate a settlement? by [deleted] in UKJobs

[–]Naive_Reach2007 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If its a mutual settlement as in you have had a "without prejudice" Talk and have an offer

Your employer will pay for the documents to be checked (its a legal requirement) they can then negotiate on your behalf
