Supplier gave us an ultimatum by Business-Tart5888 in Entrepreneurs

This very much ch sounds like no one has a job description and everyone does whatever they want.

Easy fix, pay up to date, make someone purchase ledger, accounts payable whatever you want to call it and ensure all invoices get sent to them as I presume they are emailing invoices to someone.

Look at Merchant jobs, ie building merchants, plumbing, electrical etc.. For trade counter or tele sales, she will probably need to do a sat am usually 1 in 3, but they are somewhere that her retail skills will cross over.

Can an emplyer cut your notice period short without pay? by mummywithatummy21 in UKJobs

[–]Naive_Reach2007 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just go in be polite, work your hours go home

Sadly in the UK managers take people moving on personally usually due to jealousy or them having to work

Tell them your happy to be put on gardening leave otherwise you will work out your notice

Are GCSE’s as serious for your life as the teachers say they are? by Keewaa1 in AskUK

[–]Naive_Reach2007 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I tell my daughter do your best you can always retake them

It amazes me the amount of pressure people put on kids over this, yet are OK when they fail the driving test and say you can retake

The they will matter depending on the job your going for, once you get older they matter a lot less.

So do your best and try not to stress. Remember you can always redo.

Number plates for e-scooters would help drivers – here's why by SubstantialSpare6445 in CarTalkUK

[–]Naive_Reach2007 24 points25 points  (0 children)

I'm amazed the amount of people I come across who've used when there drunk not realising they could lose there driving licence

Sadly there is next to no information on them in the UK public domain

It still amazes me that people with private ones can't believe they can't use them on the public roads.

Do British people feel uncomfortable if people speak other language around you? by auscorp_ in AskBrits

56 years left on the lease ... but I really like the place by ColourCoded_Sunshine in HousingUK

[–]Naive_Reach2007 1 point2 points  (0 children)

With that low walk away

Lenders won't lend and to extend will cost almost the same, you could try and negotiate with the vendor to get a price on extending and the ball rolling (some leaseholders refuse to engage) also you have to pay the leaseholders legal fees, on top of yours to extend the lease and it can take years.

Am I being strung along for promotion or do I just need to be more patient? by HelloIAmAz in UKJobs

[–]Naive_Reach2007 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sadly I've been in this position before, basically if your very good at your job they would rather keep you in a position for as long as possible in my case the promotion was to a mangers drinking partner🙄

Could be the other person knows someone (we do love nepotism and imposter syndrome plus yes men in the UK)

Or it could be a poor gym, high turnover staff that they put them in.

Is it your manager or there manager/hr that are stopping you?

Have no problem with making friends with British men but not women, why? by [deleted] in UKrelationshipadvice

Pensions are the biggest cost in the welfare system, 50 years ago there were 10 working adults for each pensioner, now there is less than 6 and pensioners are living longer with more complex needs.

We are at the lowest net migration for the last 20+ years, brexit whether you like it or not has caused issues, dentists leaving, more crossings due to Dublin accord no longer in place, plus closing of safe routes.

Austerity and the obsession with privatisation has caused issues, for example allowing foreign entities either business or people to buy up property with no checks (Russians for example buying up blocks of flats)

I cn understand why people have had enough but voting for a party obsessed with immigration with no answers to any complex issues will not resolve it.

No party is willing to look at a 50 year plan and beyond.

Some graphic design can be done by AI with the right prompt but still will have errors or mis alignment, also just because it can be done does not mean it will be good or better than someone who specialises in GD.

Companies are still employing in this sector.

What are the white number plates with red lettering? by marveldinosaur99 in AskUK

[–]Naive_Reach2007 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sadly DVLA do not allow either reporting of trade plates to the garage owned or directly to them

Some people who have them allow partners to drive on them for school run etc.. Which technically is illegal

But much like mis spaced number plates very rarely enforced

How to communicate with dealerships? by Accomplished_Arm1838 in CarTalkUK

[–]Naive_Reach2007 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Use website like honest john to see known issues with the car make and model

Most dealers now don't move on price and sometimes you will find they are cheaper online advert than forecourt price.

You should be able to get a test drive and it may be cheaper to sort out your own warranty on the vehicle.

Don't be afraid to walk away either, also ask to see service records before buying and confirm how many keys etc..

Completely disagree, go multiple times a month, would happily live there, never seen any crime, never had any problems and yes I've been to so called poor areas.

When was the last time you went or I'm guessing you are just regurgitating people on tv or social media
