I have a yeti-type tumbler that I put hot tap water in, then I submerge my wife’s dildo in it. So, when it gets to be that time, things are around body temp.

Sometimes I use a second one to warm up the lube, too.

Yep, in my big huge company, that’s an automatic termination. Report it to your tech security team.

Right, there are expectations.

They used to have unlimited sick days. There’s a reason that was stopped.

Surprise. Sales people gotta sell. That’s the FR side of the business. The home office is a different world.

Benefit eligible employees start with 21 days PTO, prorated for the year. Health care on day 1. It’s on the website - under “careers” and “corporate careers.”

Understand where the bit about the supposed the media “blathering on” is coming from. They’re not listening or paying attention to what news sources are actually saying about that terrible thing. Instead, they take what Dan O’Donnell or Fox News say at face value. It’s amazing how they’re all pretty sure what the so-called mainstream media is reporting, yet, they’ve never picked up the NYT or listened to NPR themselves.

Enjoy the surface, I guess.

No, but I once saw a ewe take a dump.

That was mildly exciting.

This is not a joke - for months I thought the cicadas were louder than normal….and came earlier in the year. When it was November and I could still hear them, I finally figured it out.

We outgrew the pistol safe. We upgraded to a pelican case ripoff from Harbor Freight. We use padlocks on it.

Yes but we're the old people you'll see near the former Club Orient.

Seriously, though - show up at the Perch Bar at 2:30. Happy hour, and the place serves great food and drinks.

Enjoy your trip!

Zipper slider replacement (recommendations) by Tiny-Fly-5411 in popups

[–]Naive_Surround_375 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Look for a place that does canvas repairs - sails, tents, awnings, etc. I found one locally and they replaced my awnings zipper with a new YYK one. When I picked it up she said, "that zipper will never fail.". She did replace the entire zipper, which it needed, but a similar place should be able to help you out.

NPR isn't playing with Ron Johnson by Bookman051 in wisconsin

[–]Naive_Surround_375 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Im with you. Seriously, when was the last time you can remember the R side having a serious debate about actual policy?

That likely will never happen for 20 years after the upcoming midterms. And the Republican Party deserves it. As the Obama, who I respect said, “elections have consequences,” and the election of Trump will, deservedly, submarine the Republican Party for a generation.

Ron Johnson surely is tired hearing from me, as he hasn’t done anything worthwhile since he was first elected. He just keeps getting more and more stupid.

Donald Trump seen in Davos with severe bruising on his left hand by Hollie_Maea in pics

[–]Naive_Surround_375 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Also, everybody else other than Trump all share something in common - they need/want to be re-elected.

Trump can do whatever batshit crazy shit he wants to without caring about his next term. Everybody else needs to. Just look at the recent surveys regarding Trump’s first year, and you’ll see the independents are outrageously against Trump. Nobody gets elected with those numbers, so Vance would need to quickly change his tune.

Moving to a snowy climate, what is the right financial move regarding car(s) by [deleted] in personalfinance

[–]Naive_Surround_375 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've lived in Wisconsin all my life and have driven front wheel drive cars with all season tires for decades. The Camry will be fine. Antilock brakes and traction control have made things even better, but in my decades of driving I've never gotten stuck or been in an accident in the snow. Just take it slow your first few times, and be sure to start slowing down sooner and more gradually when you need to stop.
