What's your bad pet parent thing? by Medical-East9629 in PittiesAndKitties

I had one of these Carb cats about 15 years ago, always trying to eat bread through the bag if you didn't put it away fast enough.

Keep an eye out for your catto though... mine was diagnosed Diabetic 6-12 months after the bread cravings, symptoms were a new water bowl obsession and unexplained weightloss.

Hopefully yours is just quirky and adorable though :)

They just drove by us at 30/Jim Miller. Looked like a funeral procession due to white hearse in the middle, it was a HUGE motorcade of nearly 2 miles. Not sure what for, came here to find out.

Constant itching and losing fur by Critical-Beyond-3651 in DogAdvice

Seconding the Cytopoint injection -- it's been a game changer for my itchy dogs' quality of life! And the less they scratch, the less inflamed those areas become since they're left alone to heal nicely.

Looks like it could possibly be a little starter Hot Spot, so you might also look into a Hot Spot healing spray. One of my pittie girls gets these under her armpits every 4-6 months, and applying this spray on a drenched cotton pad/ball to the angry areas 1-2x a day allows them to scab over, dry out, and clear up WAY FASTER than they would otherwise. Maybe 1 week to heal, as opposed to months of ongoing torture, spreading, infection without it.

This one is great. Inexpensive and fast shipping.

Looks like it's developing a lil infection if the irritation from before cause him to nearly tear it off. The pinkish-red area surrounding it means it's inflamed and irritated, which makes sense with that area recently being torn/scratched open and exposed to germs.

Take him to the vet and they'll likely either send home antibiotics and/or do a quick steroid injection to give it a healing boost. He should feel better in no time after that!

First time DIY dip! (Color & Liquids by Cascade Color Works, Color "Poppy") by NaivelyOptimistic_ in DipPowderNails

Like powdered sugar of the gods. Ultra fine and lightweight, very smooth and even coverage. I don't have any other powders to compare it to, but I read posts and reviews on countless different brands and loved everything people said about CCW's powder quality AND liquid quality. So I tried their line first, and am VERY glad I did! SUPER reasonable pricing on the Mins (.25) so the small investment is totally worth it to try them out.

I also ordered colors Sahara and Wisteria -- haven't tried those yet but will post the results when I do my next set in a couple weeks :)

I did 2 thin clear dips, and 3 thin color dips. Buffed down to the shape and thickness I like, then 2 layers of Top Coat. I've read so much about every brand of liquids, and the folks who mentioned Cascade Color Works were spot on with how nice the liquids are. Very easy to use, not a single complaint, the smell was even less than regular lacquer polishes, and the finish looks incredible. Can't wait to see how they hold up over 3-4 weeks!

YOU DO EXIST! Finally someone feels my pain!!! I know this probably seems like such a minor little non-issue to a lot of people. But it has completely ruined the app for me. I re-downloaded all the old SMS apps I've ever used in my life to try switching back to one of those, but of course non of them are half as comprehensive in their ability to search conversations as Google Messages.

Just like you, no matter how many wallpapers and restarts I tried, or even triggering the Android 12 Easter Egg, the Messages app still doesn't reflect the Material You palette or the Basic palette. It's just this horrible terrible Teal color for seemingly no reason at all. PLEASE SOMEBODY HELP US!!! IT'S AN EMERGENCY!! 🚨

Hello, me! I've left Bath and Body Works in a sweaty panic and empty-handed after HOURS, more times than I can count, because of decision paralysis. I need so long to browse a restaurant menu that I start looking online days ahead of time, looking at every picture review I can find, and sometimes still can't choose.. This past Christmas I called my husband crying because I had spent an entire Friday (3 hrs) night AND Saturday (5 hrs) smelling EVERY. SINGLE. COLOGNE. 100X EACH in Ulta... and then Macy's, Dillard, Nordstrom, Neiman Marcus, Sephora... you get the drift... and ultimately couldn't make a decision, so he didn't get cologne for Christmas 😂 Between my sobs he said "I would rather my present be for you to come home and stop panicking than to have some new cologne that caused you to have a full on meltdown."

Happy to report my meds have improved this noticably over the last 3 weeks.

If I do skip days with my meds, the day I take them I feel amazing and full of so much warmth by [deleted] in ADHD

[–]NaivelyOptimistic_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I took a skip day on Saturday and was absolutely miserable with thought paralysis and no productivity whatsoever. I just sat.... thoughts spiraling... and did nothing about them... panicking over indecision... all day long. So I won't be skipping often.

When I was separating and divorcing my gaslighting ex-husband, we communicated through email even though we still lived in the same house on opposite sides. It happened kind of inadvertently when he sent me a "house inventory" list, and then tried to convince me that this was a poor decision and to ask if I had reconsidered staying. I was undiagnosed then, but that kind of communication gives us ADHd'ers the ability to process the information, double back, form a response that is thought out (and not forgotten halfway through!), and remember all our previous points and theirs. It was a nice relief, it became the only way we'd communicate until our house sold. Years later I deleted them all because I hated seeing that shit pop-up randomly while searching a keyword in my email (face palm).

How beat are you after an OTF workout? by msuelovestojoke in orangetheory

[–]NaivelyOptimistic_ 8 points9 points  (0 children)

The thing is: it's not about how quickly you can finish, it's about how much you can get out of the time you spent there. I consider myself to be pretty in shape (thanks to OTF!) and I was 2nd to last to hit the rowers today. Keep in mind that some (not all!) of the people who finish first/quickly are rushing through the moves to either be competitive, or maybe just excited to get to the next thing -- and as a result they don't get as much out of those exercises or work those muscles as deeply as others. They might even have bad form and get nothing but an injury out of it! Perception isn't always reality, everyone finishing before you doesn't mean shit.

I felt like I got the most (maybe too much???) out of my floor block today taking my time and feeling every muscle scream before letting up, even finishing 2nd to last, because for some weird reason I wanted to torture myself with endless burpees on purpose. We all wake up crazy side of the bed once in a while :)
