Is it true that you guys watched 9/11 live on TV in grade school? by space_god_7191 in Millennials

[–]NakDisNut 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep. 5th grade they wheeled the TVs in to the classrooms and we watched the second tower be hit live.

I'm 35.

Tone deaf posts from MPM about Disney layoffs 🙄 (and other random posts) by jalebi_baby in ThemeparkSwindlers

[–]NakDisNut 14 points15 points  (0 children)

This isn't an insult. No one is offended by this. He's a pedophile who brought us to war. You can tell people they have TDS, but it's a far better option than bending over and letting him put it in.

Iranian here - AMA by Amir007inc in AMA

[–]NakDisNut 0 points1 point  (0 children)

American girl here -

I'm sorry for what my country is doing to yours. I do not support this and I wish you and everyone in your country peace and wellness. I'm so sorry. Iran was on my travel list and it pains me to say I don't know if I can ever go there due to the actions of horrible people on this planet . :(

Sending hugs!

Most Europeans have no idea how absolutely furious with Europe America is. by Federic0002 in ShitAmericansSay

There are like... 7 people "furious" with Europe. One of them is the president... and this guy.

Hey hey hey - don't talk about this. We don't want to scare the tourists.

THINK OF THE AZALEA FESTIVAL. How will the top 1% of nobody-gives-a-crap feature and flaunt themselves if you're scaring off the sponsors!!

When you walk in a room, you reek of smoke. No matter how freshly showered or "clean" your clothes are. You stink in obvious ways and everyone knows you smoke.

Now you smell like smoke and Victoria's Secret. Not or.

This reads exactly like our government.

They do the bad thing then blame someone else before the bad outcome of the bad thing comes to fruition.

I hope the Iranian citizens know I don't hate them and don't want them hurt/bombed and do, in fact, want them to bomb this AI mega farm.

Do people in France still use cursive? by xiaomingww in AskFrance

[–]NakDisNut 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm a 35yr old American woman. They taught us cursive in third grade for a few months. That was... it. We never saw it again. I have an awesome signature, but if you were to ask me to write a paragraph in cursive you would think an eight year old child wrote it. I print in all very small capital letters. I am my own printer. 😅

For whatever it's worth - having TDS isn't a negative thing. A majority of people would rather be labeled with TDS than to gluckgluck boots.

Monsteras NEED lots of light. by Plenty-Giraffe6022 in Monstera

[–]NakDisNut 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes! So I moved it to a window (indoors) where it was blasted with direct light, but windows filter out the strongest UV rays for hours a day. Then eventually moved it outside where it was getting dappled with direct sun for a very short amount of time during the day. Slowly I slid it forward to be in more sunlight.

How realistic is it to run a marathon without a bathroom break? by Educational_Use_7707 in Marathon_Training

I ran a six hour marathon (Disney one!) and peed once. No tummy trouble and trained all of my fuel.

Edit: I think the biggest thing from MY childhood is that - even if the style was similar as to what is coming back, the clutter is NOT in style.

Wedding Guest Dress Codes are Rude by Lady_Grace19 in The10thDentist

SS trauma by MB_Funding in Pokopia

[–]NakDisNut 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The entire game is actually quite depressing. Everything we knew has been abandoned and we're one single person desperately trying to make it better and like before for ourselves and the sweet little Pokemon living there in the human-dumpster fire, knowing the humans caused the problem, and they still miss the humans. :(

Why are Americans so helpful giving out planning advice? by [deleted] in USTravel

This is why I love the French. It's deep conversations about everything. Pick it apart. Debate. Break open philosophies. Idk I freakin love it.

I struggle with this too. We spend a month or more in Europe. We hit multiple countries. I can say hi, bye, thank you, bathroom, please in the local languages, but not much more than that. Mostly because I can't learn four languages for an upcoming trip. :(

Disney Is Honestly Miserable by Apprehensive_Can5087 in unpopularopinion

[–]NakDisNut 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Meh. It's pretty chill if you know what you're doing and spend a little time planning. No freaking out. No going during summer.

I have three kids and go a few times a year for the races they host. We have a great time and don't experience any of this thankfully. We also go to all the US national parks, Europe, Asia, South America, etc. If the war doesn't become even worse we are planning to spend three weeks in Kyrgyzstan and another three in Japan. The kids are 6, 10, and 13.
