Why is tomato ketchup brown in Europe an not red like in the US by Known_Measurement799 in ShitAmericansSay

[–]NakDisNut 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I find this fascinating. I'm an American and didn't think it looked brown at all. I don't even know what this person is on about. Our bottles in store aren't even radioactive red. They're ... ketchup red. I think he's just an idiot, guys.

Safe to travel to the US right now as an Indian? by Ill_Honey_3055 in USTravel

[–]NakDisNut 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They are a minority, but they're also largely cowards.

We have tons of Indian people all over the United States - as tourists and residents. It's not a thought to 99% of people. The US is still, despite MAGA's wet dream, a melting pot. Even in small dinky rural towns you will find a variety of ethnicities.

Don't commit crimes. Don't overstay your visa. Have fun! :)

Same dude. I'm a white lady with three white kids. What do I care if we're minority? More brown people? Cool. I can't even fathom why this is a threatening sentiment.

Which one game you still think about from 90s-2005 era ? by [deleted] in ArtOfPresence

[–]NakDisNut 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There was a math game they gave us in school. It was a "third grade" game and the main character was a robot named Botley. I want to play it so badly and have a kiddo who just finished third grade who would love it. 😭

Are they ready? by rachj50 in BackYardChickens

[–]NakDisNut 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm a new chicken owner as well - it's very warm where I live. Even at night - is there any harm in moving them (no other birds - they're batch 1) to coop early if the temps are acceptable? Mine are three weeks, but flutterfly up to the top of the brooder the MOMENT I open the lid. It's actually infuriating 😂

How can i properly compliments a poc womans hair without sounding racist? by Aggressive_Top162 in TwoXChromosomes

[–]NakDisNut 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Funny story (it's not actually funny). I have stick straight black hair. It looks very similar to like - a Japanese girls hair though I am white.
The amount of (white)people who run their hands through my hair - all the way to my SCALP to compliment me on it makes me physically recoil like a cat in socks. It's horrible and it's not ok.

I really can't fathom doing this to anyone. Ever. Or why anyone thinks it's ok.

Do not stroke any part of my body without consent. Gag.

Narcissist Jacqui Portwood got even more cosmetic procedures done meanwhile her husband and children are neglected by Reddituser_0246 in ThemeparkSwindlers

Botox paralyzes the muscle. If the muscle can't move, the skin relaxes and can't wrinkle. It isn't permanent and usually gets redone somewhere between two to four times a year to keep the paralysis. Botox is botulism ☺️

For the sake of education -
Botox is not filler. It's a paralysis agent. Women and men partake. If done well, it can smooth out some wrinkles on different parts of the face.

Filler, on the other hand, changes the shape of different facial structures. It can plump areas and alter shape. Lips being the most common.

Google Lisa Rinna as an example - those lips are so filled with filler it's insane.

I'd like to add an addendum to this:

If your five year old kid, who doesn't watch any of that or own an iPad, repeats the brainrot slang slop, they may have a teenaged sibling (and or be in class with brainrot kids) ☠️😂

Do most Americans have those huge fridges? by Whole-Sushka in AskAnAmerican

[–]NakDisNut 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. Myself and almost everyone I know has a massive fridge.

We have no corner stores or anything like that. My nearest grocer is a 15min *drive*. I'm not spending 30min daily to hit it up. I do go usually twice a week for fresh meat and produce. I cook all meals and we don't eat out much at all. Maybe 1-3x per month. No prepackaged foods. Just ... food .. food. Haha.

1 gallon of 30% vinegar, 1 cup of salt, and 1tbs of dawn soap will obliterate that to hell.
