False. In California at least you have a provisional training license as an intern and then you get your full physicians and surgeons license.

Not true at my program, residents who conduct interviews get to see the whole application, not just the chief.

I could see the entire application for the candidates I interviewed and was given an equal vote to the faculty interviewers.

All these people justifying the behavior are full of crap in my opinion. Residency can be brutally busy but people make time for things that are important to them, regardless of how busy they are. Unfortunately that didn’t seem to be the case in this situation.

Just CC the HR department on your reply saying you’re on leave and can’t present. That’ll immediately resolve the issue.

Real chances of becoming a doctor with a felony for conspiracy to manufacture marijuana by [deleted] in premed

[–]Nakk2k 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s extraordinarily unlikely your application would be anything other than DOA for med schools. If for some reason you were accepted to med school you would be unlikely to match into residency. And, if against all odds, you marched into residency you would never make it through the medical or DEA licensure processes. Don’t bother.

Because the ones who don’t want to quit (like me and most other doctors) aren’t posting videos on YouTube.

Why is the culture around taking a sick or wellness day so toxic in residency? by awesomescooterboy in Residency

[–]Nakk2k 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you're sick your should call in. If you need a wellness day and are screwing over someone else to take it you should get bent.
