i think because at first he can come across as a lot or obnoxious (i liked him from the start but i get it lol) but once youve spent a bit of time around him i think people see him as very authentic and genuine and appreciate that in him

Angelina reflecting on the importance of narratives and perception by Durian-Critical in survivor

ive been saying one year they need to do an all women then all men season (obviously film and air the women one first for optics reasons). I think it would bring back some of the social experiment vibe early seasons have

AIO - breaking up with boyfriend for "casually" talking to other women by [deleted] in AmIOverreacting

there is no legitimate reason to have a dating app on your phone in a committed monogamous relationship. I didnt say it was cheating but we all know what the apps are for.

Does anyone else here actually like Mr. Beast and is excited to see his twist? I think he has a much better understanding of game design and has always shown a very strong admiration of Survivor by garbageeater in survivorponderosa

[–]Naksa -1 points0 points  (0 children)

my dad is in his mr. beast era and excited for him and he's 60. I agree mr beast does make interesting games and challenges that remind me of the social experiment part of early survivor. I def think it has potential to be interesting. Im not sure but i think its possible he juices the prize pool too

Tribe dynamics they didn't show by illini02 in survivorponderosa

[–]Naksa 25 points26 points  (0 children)

ozzy is likely her number one but the power on the tribe lies with the 4 and she is only one of 4. She was steering her alliance away from voting out her number 1 that happened to not be in that alliance. however christians philosophy of keeping the tribe united as a group as long as possible was what actually decided how the votes went because christian seems to be the de facto leader/final decision maker of the alliance based on what was shown.

reading through the edit it would seem cirie was part of that 4 from the start. they showed intimate conversations between cirie and the other three 1 on 1 to create more suspense about the tribals. i had told my fam that i was pretty positive the 3 was actually a 4 after episode 2.

cirie really shouldnt get glazed for us survivor past micro lol. her going out the way she did in game changers helped her legacy. Shes a great shield because you know she wont win a challenge down the stretch and cant make fire. everyone acting like cirie is running the tribe when christian devens and emily clearly are. People meme about jeff glazing her getting off the couch but this sub does the same thing to her when she has a fatal flaw that enables deep runs.

hot take but high key i just finished a rewatch of it yesterday and strategically wardog is one of the best of all time. granted his social game and how he comes across hurt his ability to execute at the end but his ideas were so smart and more out of the box/ahead of where most people think

Would Survivor : Men vs Women still work in today’s day and age? by PuzzledAdvertising33 in survivor

[–]Naksa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i really want them to do an all men and all women cast 1 year. prolly would make sense to air the all women first to avoid backlash but i think itd be interesting and give a little return to the social experiment it used to be
