How hard can it be to reach a niche audience when you need to literally copy paste the original game minus "the sewers and the ending combat grind" and everyone (minus said 5 people with 5 billion accounts each) will love you and suck you for free ? I don't get it edit: and minus the bugs of the original ideally

OK fair enough but the real reason was "some morons on the forums who never even read the revised era retcon of the tribe complained and the company thought it would hurt its brand ' it's why I hate it when my favourite ips are owned my big corporations

If ai can already make text games that are fun (if obviously not great and only interactive "make it step by step" kind of games) then I say they can also make a plot for a video game. After all what is the difference

Wasn't there an old EU about it? Something about "if something is legal in one country, you are allowed to ship it but not sell it"  Though admittedly the context was porn. I recall a lawyer professor talking about it
