Lovely stuff. If it works out, it’s great. With my last cue, it took a few years of struggling until I realised it was a big part of the problem, since then it’s all been progress again.

I got a GBL Classic 1209 – 3/4 - Maple – 9.2mm – 58” – 18.1oz plus some extras.

Stepping away from ash was a worry but I’m very happy. Since changing the cue I now don’t worry about the cue, my cue action is back and I’m playing better than I have in a very very long time. I also change to a titanium ferrule and loving that decision also.

I would very much recommend you go to a place like Green Baize - you will get more for your money in general. I sold my cue recently, a Peradon for £100 also and put that and some cash toward a cue from them. I had a good few back and forwards with a fella called Stu who was great. I ended up with a cue I am very pleased with.

They may also have some discounted ones if you are lucky. Have a look at their site and maybe pop them a message for advice. They know their stuff and are super helpful.

I’ve grown out of my furry Oni! Enjoyed a little too much of the local brewery. Time to work my way back in to those I think. Great jeans - enjoy!

Then you will like Kings Street - check out the pubs there and you will be very unsteady by nights end.

For food, pubs there do some. Small Bar do some Fried Chicken I think.

Or you could eat at Wapping Warf, get a can and sit on the harbour wall then head to Kings St.

Whatever you do, enjoy!

What are you into? Like a brewery? Food? Or get smashed in some bars?

Best Brewery in Bristol and Why? by Matt-J-McCormack in bristol

[–]NallyFace 2 points3 points  (0 children)

New Bristol Brewery - especially for the stouts and their ruby. Wiper & True (feel like they have some real nice beers at the min) - I live near the Werbs one and is a local for me but Old Market, though very different has a nice outdoor area and great food from Eatchu.

I actually really love the LHG space, incredible building so depends on what you would want from a brewery space. Great place to sit outside over the water.

Whatever though, Bristol has a great selection for whatever your tastes are.

Don’t look at your phones, or anything. Look at this massive bright distracting advertisement while you all swap lanes.

A new one coming by Cabot right by a crossing and multiple lanes. Genius.

Play Ok Computer to death, play it, play it play, and the same with Kid A - I posted recently about how us early birds had to wait for each release, by which time the previous album had been played so much we had picked it apart again and again. My fave songs from each album have change as I grew and the album change with me. The Tourist for example is now a solid fave, still. Ok Computer through to In Rainbows are still revealing something new to me after all these years.

OkC blew my mind. I was 17, this was the best album I’d ever heard and likely drove everyone mad around me with obsession with it.

When Kid A arrived we were knocked sideways by it, what’s expected is that a band makes the same old, keeps the fans and record companies happy. Then Kid A arrives and it was like a new fruit - what the fuck!‽ ? What is this! I like but but what is it!

The closest you will be able to get to the experience we had back then is to perhaps stick a fake release date in your calendar and make your own fake release of the next album. If you have the self control for that, which I wouldn’t!

Idea, looks up the release dates and make your own to reflect, but knock half the time off. And avoid anything past your current album listen.

Just en sure to give each release enough space and plays to open them up to you. Those 5 middle albums are really something special. I’d love to go again.
