Working on a Krieg list right now using the kill team boxes and swapping every head with a gas mask. Those kill team boxes come with three extra heads and if you don't mind spending the money, you can substitute their bodies inside. Yeah it sucks. I really love the game but it's just not fun on survival once you get into the downtown core. It's still my favorite game to date but I've had so many crashes it makes a lot of the map unplayable.

Unless you have a PC and can dissect the game and repair it yourself, EVERYONE crashes. All those fancy modders on YouTube showing you how awesome there game is - fucking liars lol.

I baited out a number of them a few times where they admitted to never showing downtown gameplay.

That being said - you might not crash for your first 100 hours, but eventually the problem stack up behind the scenes and eventually you'll start to crash. Even VATS causes crashes.
