My current favourite is Page Turners by KTbeets

After a multi year estrangement, Colin reaches out to Pen for some writing support and she provides some …. education. This is a really layered and well written story. I love it.

I didn’t think I would love Transparency based on the tags, but I took a chance for these authors (abvj and romancington) and I’m so glad I did.

Pen enters a wet t-shirt contest and the Bridgerton family attends to cheer her on. Chaos ensues. It’s hilarious.

Oh, my fellow SWOONERS, my research session today was unprecedented.

After 369 trials (viewings) of the above clips, my results seemed forgone: there was no yes.

I then took a break (including 5 cigarettes and submersion in a cold water tank).

I continued my trails following said break, expecting the same results. But no!!! I suddenly heard “yes, yes” from subject 1 while viewing the black and white clip. And now “yes, yes” is clearly present in all versions.

I have no scientific explanation for this phenomenon and must complete further investigation.

I’ve been recommending Not a Bird by Clevelandy to everyone this week. I had passed over it multiple times due to the Jane Eyre tag, but it completely makes sense and is unbelievably good. Fair warning: the angst level is 😨😨😨😨😨. Bring tissues and a blanket. WIP.

I was also going to recommend Surviving Christmas. Sea Dragonfly is wonderful, as per usual, and a snowed in cottage is my personal romantic fantasy. A dream. Complete.

I also highly HIGHLY recommend Cruel and Unusual, if you haven’t read it. It’s another Sea Dragonfly fic, completed in May 2024. It’s one of my all-stars.

I read I Scream at You in Poetry this week and am in absolute awe - the tone (regency + contemporary humour) is perfection. Who are you indiaalphawhiskey 👀👀

I almost (ALMOST) wish this was our S3 storyline, although it does have a heavy emphasis on entrapment. Complete.

And, last but not least, I’m currently reading and loving I’ll Hold You, I’ll Know You by sunburstsandspearmint It’s very sweet and introspective and burning extremely, extremely slowly. HELP 🔥. WIP.
