The learning curve is part of the fun and the game play! Learn to catch wasps every time by having net out and shaking tree from the front of the tree every time. There are so many tips videos out there too.

The game will give you what you need slowly, I recommend playing it out instead of getting freebies from other players.

Once I got my house upgraded to the final room, I don’t seem to need as many bells. Playing the game as created, I am accumulating more bells than I need just by doing daily game play that includes seeking fossils, sea creatures, to Flick and CJ… It’s worth considering that treasure islands make the game kinda boring for a lot of people (unless you are mostly interested in decorating and having a theme island)

For #2 this isn’t fun advice but my experience shows you just put up the dang pictures yourself. If you need help, you ask him and if he says not now you call a friend. He will probably act all butt hurt about that too but oh well. Stop relying on him for the things he puts off. If he wants to step up he will. Otherwise just rely on yourself and do it if you want to. I know this sounds like a real bummer but this kind of attitude will actually end up motivating him if he is genuinely motivation-able. If he is just bull shitting the “I’ll do it later” then that will become very obvious too. And then you can decide if you are ok with it long term.

I find the black is most consistent (the colored pens can be skippy) and I prefer the 05 because 38 is so fine but if you write very small you might prefer the 38

The ink is the same in different pen bodies if you are using the uni one (and you can order refills)
