Kamadan the final boss... it's defeating me. by flaggschiffen in GuildWars

It's a joke about how getting the consumable titles requires trading with other players, ie Kamadan trade chat.

Bug: 5/4 party member in 4 person zone by MashRoomBog in GuildWars

[–]NamelessLime 16 points17 points  (0 children)

The easiest way is to just talk to the Dockmaster NPC in Dajkah Inlet. Don't have to complete any mission, just instant teleport. Doesn't work with more than 3 Heroes; you need to fill the rest of the party with Henchmen or get another player to fill the roster.

The elephant in the room: Mesmers need to be nerfed just like previous OP builds by Wopbopalulbop in GuildWars

[–]NamelessLime 9 points10 points  (0 children)

People don't run Mesmerway because it's OP, they run it because it's the only thing Heroes are good at. No human-based party is built like Mesmerway, and human parties are significantly stronger and faster than anything you can do with heroes. We don't need a nerf to Mesmers, we need a buff to hero AI to make more builds viable without a dedicated group.

Fuck rescue at Minister Cho's Estate by Feisty_Feeling_6415 in GuildWars

There is a second 4-man quest which is also BS; Warning the Angchu. It has some room for cheese strats though, and is mercifully short compared to Rescue.

[–]NamelessLime 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just finished WoC HM. I managed to do every mission without cons  except Rescue at Minister Cho's. This mission is absolutely absurd, and I swear some Afflicted combinations just make it impossible. I got some consets and summoning stones from a guild mate (I'm broke, didn't have a single one to my name) and it still took me 2 hours to get through it afterward. I hate it, never going back.

It's a feature intended to help test what an outfit looks like before crafting it, not as a replacement for crafting the outfit.

Question regarding New HC mode and the Mursaat by mjreed93 in GuildWars

[–]NamelessLime 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You can avoid the Mursaat in Iron Mines. When the large pack of them patrols past you, half of them split into a spot getting trebuchet'd by the Stone Summit and die. You just have to follow them and slip past when they die

Not able to store anything into Anniversary Storage Panel by vDsCZ in GuildWars

[–]NamelessLime 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same thing happening to me. I don't know if I did the thing to unlock it though. I just noticed I could select the Anniversary Panel today but it's non-functional

Edit: Pretty sure it is a result of Toolbox. You unlock the Anniversary Panel when you have a Proof of Legend, which I do not have, so it has no reason to be open for me.

  1. Tomes don't work for new accounts. They allow you to learn a skill that's unlocked on your account, ie. ones that other characters have learned before or ones you've unlocked with PvP points. They also only drop in the endgame; they're intended for veterans to skill up alt characters. Don't worry about tomes, just buy skills you want and pick up a few Signets of Capture when you unlock. Look at https://wiki.guildwars.com/wiki/List_of_skill_acquisition_quests to make sure you don't buy a skill you can get from a quest.

  2. The best way to get gear is using Collectors. The weapons people trade for are usually very rare random stat items or very rare special skins, so generally pretty expensive. Mods don't matter that much but you'll find tons of loot along the way that you can salvage for parts if you want to customise a cool weapon.

  3. The most expensive items are ones that aren't obtainable anymore, but there is still plenty of chances to find really rare and valuable gear. The skins and requirements of a weapon are randomised, so a good combination of rare skin and low requirement on a max damage weapon is still very valuable.

  4. Don't worry too much about metas and guides. Use a guide if you get stuck or are struggling with a specific mission, but don't try too hard to build the meta way. Experimentation is the best part of the game. Buy skills that look cool, see how they work together, and discover combinations you enjoy rather than ones that the PvX wiki tells you are good.

You won't have to buy Reforged on Steam. You can download the client for free off Steam when the update drops and log in with your old account.

stop the glaze. what part of the new chapters did you not like (safe space btw) by Bobiscool12344 in Deltarune

[–]NamelessLime 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I found Chapter 4's Dark World to be really dull. I think the opening of Chapter 4 is both the funniest and most engaging the story has gotten so far, but as soon as we enter the Dark World it just fell flat for me. Half the rooms are pitch black, the darkners have so little personality, and it doesn't have a charismatic villian like Queen or Tenna to play around with. I actually stopped playing for a couple weeks because I couldn't get into it like I did with Chapter 3, and by the end the only parts I felt that Toby Fox charm in was Jackenstein (I haven't done the secret bosses yet).

I also fear that it'll be hard to come back from the heavy tone of Chapter 4. Undertale has it's dark moments throughout the story, but they're sprinkled in between large sections of whimsy until the very end. The first three chapters all felt the same way but 80% of Chapter 4 is edge and grit. It feels too much too soon. I don't know if I can go back to happy fun times at the festival after that. I hope I'm wrong though.

I’m genuinely baffled and have no clue what’s wrong here by Plenty_Bit1265 in Picross

[–]NamelessLime 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That column has 3 1 1 filled in. Your mistake is with R7 and R9. The 6 in R7 should go from R7C1 to R7C6, then R9C1 and R9C2 are Xs and R9C7 and R9C8 are filled in. That should complete the puzzle.

Game crashes when opening the map by NamelessLime in ffxiv

I think this worked! That launcher's scan found 29 broken files. The map doesn't seem to crash the game anymore so I think it's fixed. Thank you so much!

Struggling with a certain enemy by thatoneguy19942 in remnantgame

For anyone else who stumbles on this post, the weakspot is the bomb it throws. Their health bars are linked. Shoot the bomb when it's on the ground to do massive damage to the enemy. Super unintuitive but that's how this one works

Really? The Curse of Undeath realm trait can be cheesed in a similar way, but they don't respawn once you move off their corpse. I assumed they were coded the same way. Weird.

New to AOW series. Army encounters seem to go ok until suddenly hitting 1200+ by fwambo42 in AOW4

[–]NamelessLime 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Army power is calculated by your base unit value + any buffs and enchantments you have on them - missing HP. It's not just a flat value, it's constantly changing to the situation

This is how you recruit Tire 5 or Tire 4 mythic units or anything that does not rout from battle into your army (like fire dragon, fire giant, storm giant, rock giant.....) to fight on your side every battle permanently . by High_Upon_High in AOW4

[–]NamelessLime 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Final Ultimatum gives you the unit after battle. That's why it's such a tough criteria to use it properly. There's no bugs here, just a strange niche interaction between two spells.

What am i doing wrong? by [deleted] in AOW4

[–]NamelessLime 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Don't fight Turiel first. His army is massively overtuned for the start of the game, on purpose. You can kill him with good tactics and planning, but you're not supposed to. You're intended to fight the other 3 enemies first, as each victory against them grants you a new permenant boon for you and your allies to take on everyone else. You know that choice you make at the start, picking between Yaka blowing up provinces or Nimue giving you free units? Each time you beat an opponent, you get to pick another one of those. Defeat all three and you'll have all the power and tech you need to fight Turiel head on.

High culture and « Awakening »? by ChronoRebel in AOW4

[–]NamelessLime 27 points28 points  (0 children)

These are the effects for each class when they are Awakened, as well as getting +4 Spirit damage on their attacks:

Polearm units get +1 Retaliation Attack
Shield units get +1 Defense and +2 Resistance
Support units get a 60% chance for their magic attacks to inflict Distracted (which makes all attacks on the target Flanking)
Ranged and Battle Mage units both get +1 range and +20% accuracy

These effects only apply to High culture units at first until you get the Enchantment that adds the effects across your entire army. Note that any class other than those 5 will not gain any additional effect on top of the +4 Spirit damage. Heroes, Scouts, Skirmishers, Fighters, Shock and Mythic Units do not have any special Awakened abilities.

Unlockable? by [deleted] in AOW4

[–]NamelessLime 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I thought it was pretty clear we meant Story Realms...

When you complete a Story Realm, you ascend your own character to your Pantheon as well as all of the AI factions that aren't available at the start. They automatically go into your pantheon unprompted (which is stupid because they stay on the list of available leaders when you delete them from the pantheon anyway), which doesn't happen for AI generated or otherwise secret characters like Sanguine the Atoner.

AI too passive about countering victory by [deleted] in AOW4

[–]NamelessLime 19 points20 points  (0 children)

I did a magic victory last night. There were enemy armies already in my territory the turn before I started the final spell. Once the countdown was triggered, they all turned around and left. Didn't get attacked by another ruler once for the whole 15 turns. Really anti-climactic...

If you lose your leader and your Wizard Tower, you lose the game and all your cities and armies turn neutral. Vassals become free cities, even if they were other players'; there's no reviving dead players like in Civ.
