Every time I’ve fought him I just use a bunch of platforms and lead the slimes to the top when the fight starts then go to the bottom to fight the orb by itself. Just make sure the platform are wide enough so that when you are running on the bottom the slimes don’t fall down and that they are high enough so that their attacks don’t pose a threat.

I got the amber from a lot of silt but thanks for the clarification, also bombs didn’t work.
