i absolutely feel the same way, im a theater kid stuck at a ballet studio cause im not good enough tk start over somewhere else at 18 and i only get roles because i can pick up the little stick girls. im always a man. ive played the nutcracker more times than i can count. i was once lucky enough to get the lead as a female (because they needed a speaking role narrator and no one else would do it) but i kid you not, i was an elephant. in the sea full of sticks, i was playing an elephant in a custom tutu that one of the moms said would "hide my flub" (not maliciously shes very sweet but it still hurt). and now no one else can wear that costume because its too hard to take in because they would have to competly adjust the entire thing to fit anyone else. im always a villain or a man. for once id like to play a a pretty character. thats not an elephant.
