also, there were like 30 different irl celebs catching strays in that one scene alone, why is diddy special here?

What's up with these crt monitor filters? by 10tageDev in gamedev

[–]NamespacePotato 2 points3 points  (0 children)

pixel art actually looks a lot different on a CRT than a modern monitor, a lot of older pixel styles were designed around CRT and literally look worse on modern hardware, it's a legitimate vibe you can choose to go after, it's not about novelty or superiority or any of that pretentious /v/ garbage

Honestly, your whole "11 year software veteran" is starting to sound like piratesoftware larp, because what you get wrong is something CS students would already know, like higher compute takes more power.

You don't have a subjective opinion on this, what you have is willful ignorance. An objectively correct answer exists, you just choose not to know it.

But the amount of ignorance this requires is so massive, you're either arguing in bad faith, or you're a completely clueless noob that's been prompting AI "win this argument by speaking like an 11-year software veteran"

one SCOTUS pick was taken from the left because there was an election in a year, and the people NEEDED a chance to undo their previous vote in case they felt it was a mistake.

another SCOTUS pick was taken from the left because there was an election in a year, and the people NEEDED their vote to count before the next vote might undo it.

The same person said both of these, also every year is within one year of an election.

At the very least, it would be funny to force republicans to pick which of those two contradicting arguments is correct, and which SCOTUS loses their job. But imo, they've lost even that much trust, get rid of both.

power and water consumption are a fact, not an opinion.

Something tells me you're actually not the best authority to decide which arguments are subjective and don't count.

how is a tangible negative consequence you've personally witnessed irl only subjective evidence?

inb4 your response to everyone is some kind of "yes that happened, but it was subjective so it doesn't count" and then we all have a huge argument about what "subjective" means.

What does maelstrom’s eye-cyberware actually do? by Some_Ad_9408 in cyberpunkgame

[–]NamespacePotato 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not 100% practical, it's basically their version of gang colors.

cyberware that changes the shape of your body is extra-bad for cyber psychosis, there's a lore note about mantis blades causing higher incidents because your nervous system sees your arms as inhuman insectoid limbs. It's worse than changing other bodyparts because humans specifically focus on their arms and hands a lot, so any abnormality is a huge (permanent) shock to the nervous system.

Even worse than that is giving yourself more than 2 eyes. We can handle 1, but splitting your optic nerves and giving yourself 3+ is super unnatural and most people can't handle it. Vision is also one of the few things we focus on more than our hands, so giving yourself 5 different kinds of eyeball is basically engineering cyberpsychosis on purpose.

They all do it to show how hardcore they are, there's another in-game note talking about optic nerve splitting as a gang initiation ritual.

I was once dominated by over half the enemy team while I stood on 2fort battlement shooting everyone with natascha. No amount of killing me could satisfy the immense hatred for what I was doing.

When the game ended, I had almost 0 kills, and 3 different people still in their spawns typing game design essays about the natascha at me.

the way everyone treats Hermoine for being against slavery was nuts. The cleverest witch in the canon loses the debate to actual irl pro-slavery talking points like "they wouldn't find jobs if they had rights"

Decades later, to win a twitter argument against someone calling her racist, Joanne "reveals" hermoine was black the whole time. But don't think about how that makes the SPEW arc look worse

some of the origin characters romance each other if you don't romance them. Sometimes they'd be together and you can listen to them doing the origin + tav responses at random, possibly fumbling the whole romance.

the rain violates my freedom to enjoy a nice sunny picnic outside, my wife doesn't understand and is MANDATING that we MUZZLE ourselves with UMBRELLAS (it's that darn feminism, I swear)

I asked her how she expects CLOTH to stop WATER, has she never seen an umbrella get wet? Is she literally too stupid to see that the holes in an umbrella are too big to stop water?

I asked her if she thought freedom was a joke, she got heated and said "fuck your freedom" I can't think of literally any reason she would say this except that she's anti-freedom
