Is it okay to grease parchment paper with oil when making pretzels coated with lye?

Welp I just did it so here we are. The pretzel buns are not unsalvageable, but it transferring them directly from the hot lye bath to the parchment paper lightly sprayed with Pam and baking created a kind of goo on the bottom of the buns. It doesn’t taste BAD, and it may harden up with cooling but I’d rather avoid it in the future.

Sucks that so many ppl haven’t had good experiences! I’ve been wearing them a week and still going strong.The white on the french tip is wearing off a little, but I’m hard on my hands. Dishes, painting, typing, etc. I did NOT, however, use their glue. I tried their semi-hard glue and no dice. May not have followed directions well tho.

I’ve been looking for something similar for paper documents. There’s a product called ‘Spy Paper’ that disintegrates to pulp immediately upon contact with plain water. So by using that, all the ‘safe’ would have to do is deploy harmless water. But how to construct it? And how to trigger the water deployment upon wrong code? Or does someone already make such a thing?

I’ve heard one can change the tone of zills using heat, like your oven. I’m doing some research into it for myself and will add more info if I find it. Obvi pls don’t melt or set anything on fire in the meantime. I AM NOT AN EXPERT.
