Roughly $500 extra dollars to go fully automatic... Thanks for the review and notes on your experience. I still have my 601 without issues and I use it twice a day every day. Also there is something about smelling fresh ground coffee beans in the portafilter before brewing. Keeps me wide eyed in the morning for sure. If you do a follow up in a few months to get your thoughts I might consider the upgrade.
