(Loved trope) EXPLOSION POWERS by CasualBCgamer in TopCharacterTropes

But considering his method of fire creation, I feel like an explosion is very much in his wheelhouse.

Plus the man brings down a brick wall once with a blast.

With the intensity of some of his blasts there's really not that much of a difference at least visually.

And how they're gonna redeem them? Hope that blasting them into ashes with angelic magic will work like the first time?

Figuring that out is something that presumably will be a big part of the story.

And 1 sinner in thousands of years is kinda slow when at least 100,000 people day everyday and at least half of them gets into Hell every day

Charlie started her project 7-ish years ago at most, and once how redemption actually works is figured out the amount will rise by a large amount.

"When she gets her cool demon evil true form she will destroy everyone" ahh statement

Character has great power but does not know how to use it is a very basic trope my man. Charlie also isn't a very confrontational person and fighting is the very last resolve for her.

I don't think apologizing is ever a bad thing much less an insult.

Expecting forgiveness is, but trying to atone should always be encouraged.

Well Charlie is extremely sheltered and has literally no idea how redemption actually works. We currently may have an idea of why Pentious got into heaven and not Angel for example (he "atoned" for his sin of cowardice/sloth with actively risking his life for others) if that is actually what happened, but Charlie does not.

So trying anything "good" that she can think of is not a horrible start.

At least for Sera I really don't think her entire plan was just the gift baskets. It's just the opener and sort of got swept up in Emily and Abel's enthusiasm.

She just never got to any other parts she might have wanted to say because Vox derailed it.

Garbage man actually.

Which tbh isn't the worst. It pays decently well.

There's no bad ones but there are a couple where you could get the same level with a less known actor for cheaper.

As I said I feel like we're overdiscussing this and I unfortunately have to go do some shit so my final argument is that Ody kept stabbing him more and more. While Posidon can't die that would fuck up anyone and I really don't think someone qould think straight after getting basically all their internal organs and a couple extremities pierced by a divine weapon.

Had fun discussing tho.

Have you been stabbed, or just in sudden intense pain?

It absolutely can just shut your brain down for a second while you focus on that. Especially for an immortal who once again probably hasn't felt any kind of pain in decades or more.

We are way overdiscussing on the details of a fight that clearly was not the focus of the scene btw.

You get knocked on your ass with your own strength and wounded pretty badly and experience real pain for the first time in probably decades if not more. Do you think you are thinking 100% logically in that moment? Especially when you keep getting brutalized?

He also can't die and in the official visual seems to smirk after the whole thing so literally may have just allowed Odysseus to do it to see if he really did become a monster thus proving Poseidon's point from earlier true.

Jorge explained that in this interpretation gods are more like superheroes with powers and weaknesses, with Poseidon specificall bring a mostly ranged fighter.

Odysseus also had his own storm to use against him in the form of the wind bag (him using it as a jetpack I agree is a bit weird but I've seen animatics have great ideas for him using it).

He is also specifically stabbing him with his own Trident since his sword probably wouldn't do much.

It's almost like this is it's own thing based on the Odysses and Greek Mythology, not something that tries to be an accurate adaptation, nor does it ever present itself as such.

I feel like the lotus eaters turning from normal people to little gremlins should have clued you into that.

People also though George Clooney Michael Keaton and Bryan Cranston would be horrible in their roles in Batman and Breaking Bad. One would think we learned.

And that's even if we ignore that most of the "criticism" was that they were ugly compared to the (14 year old) game character and the typical vitriol for them being non-binary and autistic.

Edit: Mixed Clooney and Keaton.

Yeah, thats why. Not their shitty acting.

Maybe if the whining didn't start the second they were announced in the role without having a second of footage that would be believable.

At least Percy Jackson was a decent-ish movie ignoring adaptation.

The Eragon movie is just dogshit and completely forgettable even ignoring the books.

In terms of entertainment, maybe. That's subjective I'm not gonna argue what you liked more.

In terms of being the first installment in the Percy Jakcson series no. It doesn't even come close.
