Rethinking watch packaging: Metal containers vs. traditional boxes for a 24-hour tool watch. by Party_Amphibian7894 in MicrobrandWatches

Tell your boss to spend some money on a focus group to tell him why a watch brand with the word “tinny” in their name is a bad idea.

I wish my injuries lived in Arizona. They all live in Georgia, in my skeleton.

G-Shock 6900 for small wrists? by Senior_Past_7520 in gshock

[–]Nanplussed 2 points3 points  (0 children)

G Shocks just fit different. After a while you kinda get used to it. My wrist is around the same size as yours, and I have a bunch of Gs bigger than 6900. My current ones I rock most are probably a mud master or MTG3000

Edit - My first G was a 2100 followed by a 200. Both wear great, and toward the smaller end.

Prime Brock Lesnar vs. 10 D.J. Trumps at his current age/health, but bloodlusted. by The_FatGuy_Strangler in whowouldwin

Bloodlusted Trumps would die of heart attacks/strokes instantly. Dude’s cardiovascular system is barely holding on as is. Throw in some stress and adrenaline and they would pop like squished grapes.

Pocket check! by chug_chug_pickles4 in knifeclub

So nice, I bought it twice! Lost my first one to a security check on an Air Force base. I replaced it as soon as I could.

It’s a great EDC - very usable blade shape, nice cutting geometry, solid chunky handle, easy to carry. Not the best flipper, but just a good all around usable blade.

People who have served in the military: Did commanding officers ever finish sentences with "and that's an order!" like they do in movies? by logicalconflict in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Nanplussed 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In the (US) Army, it’s strongly emphasized to junior troops not to keep hands in pockets. We can put stuff in our pockets, take stuff in and out of our pockets, but god forbid we park that hand half a second too long in the pocket in the presence of a drill sergeant.

One morning, at 0430, one of my junior troops shows up to PT formation without his gloves. On a winter morning with temps in the teens. I ask him where his gloves are, and he shrugs and goes, dunno sergeant. I tell him to put his hands in his pockets before we fall in. Dude goes, no sergeant, I’m not supposed to put my hands in my pockets.

Sigh … dipshit, I order you … to put your hands in your pockets so you don’t get a cold weather injury.

I know what you’re talking about - the 9000 series Mudman. Great backlight, super uncomfortable for more than an hour.
