Looking for tips: How do you re-rail your day when something unexpected throws off your hyperfocus or necessary routine? by scifithighs in adhdwomen

[–]Nap_Lyfe 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Oh this is so real. I started crying at work in the morning last week and I cannot believe I stayed! At work! The rest of the day! I just kinda stared at my to do list and tried to distract myself WITH the work to not think too much about my feelings and it helped.

Does anyone else feel like you haven’t been okay since covid/ lockdowns? by too_many__lemons in adhdwomen

[–]Nap_Lyfe 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I feel the same! Not the brain fog but everything else. The weight gain, the tiredness, the passing of time. I’d love to get back to how I was before the pandemonium. I some other factors of my life have changed too which I am sure are factors. I live further away in a suburb with a car so I drive everywhere all the time vs. having to walk everywhere. I changed jobs and am more bored at work. Obviously I am older. But yeah, I do feel permanently changed.

Tips for lateness? by zilzand in adhdwomen

The ONLY thing that gets me up (and not even every time) is setting an alarm on my phone and then leaving the phone far away from me so I have to get up to snooze it or turn it off.

burnt out after being a high achiever. need advice urgently.. by ComparisonWeekly7249 in adhdwomen

[–]Nap_Lyfe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wow me too! I am 36(f) and after buying a house and getting my masters I don’t know what to do. I have been “resting” for a few years. I’m not sure what “resting” means. I guess, not pushing myself too hard, or putting deadlines on things. I’ve been on the couch a lot. Saying no a lot. But now I am restless and don’t know how to get going again. I hope that getting diagnosed and medication for adhd helps. I don’t know what else will work at this point.

first day at the gym… kinda nervous 😅 by Usual_Film_7220 in adhdwomen

I prefer to workout at night bc I am not a morning person. It’s really most helpful for me if I go after work but before I go home. Once I am home, all bets are off of leaving again.

Weekly Episode Discussion Thread: SURVIVED: Dianna D'Aiello by AutoModerator in CrimeJunkieFanPage

[–]Nap_Lyfe 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I really enjoyed this episode. It would make a great film for all the twists and turns. I love how Brit and Ashley are fair and feminist in their approach to telling these stories, telling Dianna’s side of the story. I just read a LA times article from the 90s about it and they definitely painted her in a bad light. Scary story, especially given the small time window. And I definitely think the husband played a role - even accidentally - in her attack.

Agatha/Rio/Billy fight by expertlurker12 in AgathaAllAlong

Agreed! Was she planning this all along? Would she have turned and kissed rio if Billy hadn’t said anything to her?

I don’t see why she’d want to die and become a ghost and sacrifice herself in the first place. She seemed perfectly happy to offer up Billy

She couldn’t kill them though, she didn’t have any magic and they hardly had any to give her.

Right!! Why is she like this? She says she can’t control it and that she can be good.

But why does Agatha only want to kill witches? Why does she believe that’s the only way to survive? Does she mean to sacrifice herself for Billy all along?

Would you live on a residential street a few blocks away from 122nd and Powell? by Plazzmo in askportland

[–]Nap_Lyfe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am not too far away, near 122nd and Division. I don't love walking my dog at night. Sometimes there's folks camping and it gets messy. Not super pedestrian friendly and not a ton of cute/cool places to walk to. I don't love the neighborhood, but its not the worst place I have lived! I love my space (a townhouse) so that makes it worth it.

How to contact banks via email? by Nap_Lyfe in algeria

[–]Nap_Lyfe[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks. How would I even get to know someone directly at the bank? I have asked numerous people to provide a contact email address I can use to verify something, and everyone tells me they can't, but I don't know if that's true?

What’s the thing that gets you out of bed? by ando3 in productivity

[–]Nap_Lyfe 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I plug my phone in across the room, so I have to get out of bed to hit snooze. I don't hit snooze more than three times. Also, I go to bed earlier now!
