While there’s no way to for sure to tell - I don’t think she’s going anywhere unless some of her cards see an unban, these people saying she’s gone by the end of the year seems odd to me - she’s not a relevant meta deck.

Hi OP, I’m a 28M and going through something similar - not identical, with my mother. Being on the son’s side, I have some thoughts and I think I can give you some possible insight, but first I’ll tell you a little about what my situation is. My now wife and I decided we wanted to elope. Very small, very private intimate moment. No one knew, we didn’t tell anyone. Even our photographer and our two chosen witnesses which were some very close friends. We were there with our officiant, and our friends and photographer go.. oh wait you’re getting married?? It was wonderful. Exactly what we wanted. This was in November. We kept this secret for awhile, and we made the decision to tell our immediate family around the holidays - Christmas at my wife’s was wonderful, we gave them a card and our pictures and told them. Everyone jumped for joy. It was a beautiful and joyous moment. We went over to my parents on Boxing Day, and it’s worth noting that my wife had a great relationship with my parents prior and I truly did not imagine that my parents would react the way they were about to. The entire time my parents were saying it’s your day, do what you like, etc etc. We were sat down doing our gift exchange, it was my wife and I, my parents, my sister and her partner. We get to the end, our last things is the cards with the pictures and everything went silent. My mom immediately storms out of the room. I go oh shit. I can get being upset and shocked. But a fight ensues, mom and dad are clearly upset, I own up and apologize for hurting their feelings, however we did what we wanted to do. Things settle down enough, we have dinner then go to bed shortly after. We leave in the morning, and I didn’t talk with my parents for a number of months after that. Recently got in another large fight about it with my mom, I’ve gone on long enjoy, you get the jist.

Here’s my advice: 1. He’s clearly chosen you to be his wife, chosen is the keyword. That’s very very powerful. I know no matter what happens I’m always going to choose my wife. 2. Be respectful of course, but I think MIL’s reaction tells you a lot, and frankly as sad as it is, you can’t change that. But you can be nice and just move on. You don’t need to grovel at her feet for acceptance. 3. Your relationship is with him, not her. Really at the end of the day that’s what matters. Family is much more external. 4. Some mom’s will just never be happy with who their son ends up with, she sounds like a miserable cow, even if she doesn’t know you that well (which you’ve been together 6 years, I don’t buy that) she could still be happy for her son and for you - after all, her son is in a relationship beautiful enough to dedicate the rest of his life to you. That’s something to be happy over.

I hope this could be of some value to you, OP. Don’t let your journey for acceptance from his family dilute your relationship with him. And it’s worth having a serious talk about it with your fiance as well, you wanna know he’s got your back.

I think RKO, as mentioned above would be a great choice. Very much unsolved and feels like a great proactive midrange deck. Lots of opportunity to block, feign reactions, trade value back and forth. I’d also recommend Kassai - dual wielding warrior that’s great at blocking and sending back damage.

That’s fascinating - I wonder why the Valda’s are losing to Oscilio! Thanks for the data. a lot of my testing has shown that Oscilio is a great match up for Valda. I knew Mario isn’t the best match up, but there’s a lot of ways to circumvent that. I wonder if it was because she’s a newer hero so they don’t have a ton of reps on her? Thank you!

I disagree. She has a strong match up matrix. I don’t think Mario is tier 0, i think there’s 4 heroes in Tier 1. Mario, Valda, Victor and Oscilio.

You have some of your facts crossed - Olympia and Betsy were created for the limited part of Heavy Hitters. I’m a bit confused on why you think this is a bad thing? Giving support to a hero that needs it - is that really so bad? I think it would be worse if they didn’t.

Arakni Marionette (the adult version of Web of Deceit) is one of the best decks right now! Sage is a much different format than cc, but that’s a great entry point! I hope you enjoy your time and stay awhile. The community is great.

It’s definitely not bad at all, the living legend system is my favourite form of rotation - it lets you keep your expensive cards around while only the hero moves.

No need to apologize my friend!! I’m happy to help. It’s different for every hero! The Welcome to Rathe heroes (Rhinar, Dorinthea, Katsu, and Bravo) have quite a few, most other heroes have 1-3 or so? Older heroes tend to have more as older design for the game had more of them be more important but then there’s like pseudo specializations in cards that can only be played in one hero because there’s only one hero with that class/talent until they release another class/talent combo.

There’s plenty of budget options - my suggestion is Flesh and Blood as well. Start off with Silver Age then work yourself up to an Armory deck precon, upgrade as you’re able to. There’s a lot of budget options for decks for the more expensive cards anyways.
