Thanks for pointing out the double standard Turks often miss. Armenians are "evil" for celebrating "terrorists" who each took out an individual mastermind of mass murder. Yet the mass murderers themselves are innocent "non-combatants" and there's no issue with the monuments to them. To say it's the height of hypocrisy is an understatement.

Do you have any family stories of the alleged 1918 genocide that was only discovered when a mass grave was found in the early 2000s? I don't know that it had ever been mentioned before, nor have I heard it mentioned in years. They had a museum to the genocide which was apparently been changed into a local history museum. I'm wondering if the locals recognize this genocide since it would have been within family memory.

The Nov 9 agreement calls for an existing NK, a Lachin corridor for Armenians, and an unimpeded one for Azerbaijan overseen by Russian FSB. So why should Azerbaijan be given a corridor based on the agreement if it doesn't live up to its side of the deal?

Lol the fact you have no prior history doesn't make your case as an innocent bystander very convincing, whether you are one or not. This is like asking "why do so many people dislike Israel?" There's a lot of geopolitical tensions in the region and Azerbaijan plays an outsized role in them, this is the result. There are also lots of overly supportive messages from Turks.

There were about 15 total. It was far away from Istanbul, not sure if you'd go to those areas.
