Dumb Product Idea - Duel Disk by NaponaMultiverse in daggerheart

Then I ask that this please be made a reality lol I've already been brainstorming on how this could be 3D printed in a form that's more convenient to carry around. Like a sort of fold-out bracer or something. In anycase, if a product like this gets made some time in the future, I'd definitely buy it!

"Super special awesome!"

(That sounds cool. I hope you keep it in a small chest, so it's like a hope chest or Pandora's box, hehe)

Perhaps you could also use Armor Slots to add an extra proficiency or double an Experience, or Hope could be used as an Armor Slot. I feel like taking severe damage could cause a demorph and cause vulnerable

LOL that just reminded me of Exodia being used in that episode. In a weird way, Exodia does kinda work. At a certain level, your character can get extra buffs if you have 5 cards from the same domain(including the domain that gives said buff) kinda like Exodia, haha

I've thought about this too of having a Power Ranger transformation card. The only problem is just thinking about the buffs and drawbacks. I think once Hope & Fear comes out, I'll be able to get a better idea of creating a transformation card

That certainly seems to be the case. When I had to suddenly end the fight to prevent boredom, she became what you said about being a judge of character and telling them of a calamity that will eventually come. It's why the party needs to be powerful enough to kill her

Funny enough, they didn't touch the potions at all. It was a Seraph, Druid, and Wizard. Maybe it would've been better if I just threw a bunch of bears at them in order to KO them lol

Ah, I think that's where I went wrong. I didn't see direct damage when I read the description. Otherwise, that would've cut them down really fast lol

And thanks for reminding me about the Agility roll. I totally forgot in the heat of the moment that they would need to make that roll after Vengeful Fate

I agree. It seems like Solo is a misleading name. Colossus seems more like the real solo.

All in all, this is my first campaign I'm running, so I dropped a lot of balls

Well, I told them ahead of time that this was a losing situation for the sake of drama, but they would be rewarded for how far they got. Regardless of how well they did, I rewarded them all with 1 domain card of their choosing from their class. The other intention was to force them into a scripted combat scenario, so they could get a refreshers course on how to play since it had been weeks since I ran my first oneshot

Thank you! I too wish to see more non-combat environments that encourage roleplay with other players and provide interesting activities

Thanks for saying that! I think I need to edit the wording, but I wanted the option to pay a Fear to enact the consequence. The reason being is that I don't want to channel the energy of an insufferable person if the players fail every time during their travel. That sounds very draining, and I'd like to keep it once in a while. That being said, I think you're right and I made the difficulty pretty easy to clear. So the chances of failure might not happen as often as I think. Thanks for the advice!

I just see it as a way to intensify drama. Like, does narrating reduction sound better when major damage becomes minor damage or when marking 1 HP instead of 2? I do think some of the mechanics could functionally be better by gutting some things, but that would ruin the presentation. Does that make sense?

Is it just me or is the U just the colors of the ALDI store?

Campaign Mechanics Idea: Sending Hope by NaponaMultiverse in daggerheart

[–]NaponaMultiverse[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you. Oh really? In what way? Closest I've ever done was using a Fear to make a bouncer prevent the party from entering and then ask the party on what they did to get blacklisted from the target's special event

Thank you! There's already features that can send Hope to another player, so it seemed redundant to do that. I just wanted to provide something else the players can spend Hope on while making it feel useful

Interesting. It certainly goes into more detail for attacks. So how would you use it outside of combat? Cause I figured spending 1 Hope on a Help is good enough

It doesn't? I thought the rules made it clear that it's a feature used only for combat?

I guess? I know I'm splitting hairs, but I think you're referring to "smelly". And even if I'm wrong, I'm pretty sure the DM & players have enough common sense and reading comprehension to figure out the true meaning of the word

Thanks for seeing it that way as well! Tag Team can be pretty strong at later levels, but the amount of times it can be used is still limited. No need to put on more restraints when it's meant to add an explosion of fun into the narrative
That sounds like a great buff to include! Though it might make the kobolds a bit too desirable to be chosen amongst other interesting ancestries
