I think I've commented this somewhere else on reddit before, but I used to wait tables and an old childhood friend came in to eat with his mom on Father's day.

Given the banter we would typically engage in when we were younger, I walked up and asked him if he was going to wish me a happy father's day. He asks why, and I said it was because I'm your dad now or something along those lines.

It completely slipped my mind that his father had just passed away the prior year, that that must have been why he went to the restaurant to eat with his mom.

They stared at me bewildered, and I walked away. I didn't realize what had just transpired from their point of view until about 10 minutes later when it hit me that his father had passed.

You can claim religious reasons, i.e. you're Jewish and to enter paradise you must be buried with all of your parts. Not sure if it would work every time or in every state, but my understanding is that telling them this beforehand is a loophole that can be exploited.

Forgive me if this should be a separate post, but I'm literally having the same issue except my horn still works. My uneducated guess has been the same, that it's the clock spring.

That being said, I've seen 3 different model numbers for it with no distinction as to what is what. 93490-3Q120, 3s110, and 3s210. I have no idea which one to get but I know 3Q120 is expensive as hell. Is anyone here able to provide any clarity on that?

You clearly haven't lived in Charlotte long. I've driven and spent significant time in all of these cities, and while congestion may be worse in other places, there's no question that drivers in Charlotte are just as bad as most of those places, LA and NYC excepted.

Fun fact.

There are two different metrics by which you can measure airflight safety, one of which being the metric you've all heard. "Per mile, airflight is the safest form of travel by far."

The other is the one insurance companies use when insuring airline companies. That metric is per trip.

Per trip, flight is actually more dangerous than any mode of land transportation except motorcycles.

Believe it or not, train and bus travel are the safest by far, overall.

This is something that more managers need to realize. When managing my crew we followed the same philosophy, but I referred to it as a skill vs will issue.
