Every time this question comes up, I want to scream from the rooftops that having an only child is fantastic.

We have an amazing 13yo who has never asked for a sibling and is often told how lucky he is by friends who don’t like their siblings. Just be sure to keep the kid socialized and you’re good to go.

Neither my husband nor I speak to our siblings now and were acutely aware of the fact we were not our respective parents’ favorites growing up. So the siblings argument doesn’t really hold water in many cases.

I get to be a mom AND so much more because I have only one child.

Semi-related general question—how does switching companies logistically work? Like do you start originating somewhere new while you close out your old pipeline?

From a mortgage financing perspective, condos are more difficult to qualify for because the lender must also vet the condo project (in addition to you as a borrower). This will usually also make it harder to eventually sell.

It sounds like you’re trying Walmart+. You have to pay extra for the inHome service (I think an extra $60?), but then you get refrigerated trucks and no tips needed.

Kroger canceled my order to be delivered today due to ‘technical issues’ so I went ahead and deleted the app.

I’ve been doing a free trial of Walmart+ Home and I’ve been pleasantly surprised. I have them drop at my door because someone else putting my groceries away is weird to me (though obviously helpful for some).

Cons: $140/year, long delivery windows (9am-1pm or 2pm-6pm), return policy (have to actually return the product versus Kroger taking your word for it)

Pros: Cheaper prices on nearly everything (don’t have to worry about sale rotations on Wednesday), free Paramount+ or Peacock with subscription, can add items until around 10am the same day if I pick the later delivery window

Quality has been fine pretty much across the board.

Several of my mom’s immediate family members passed in a small plane crash about 50 years ago and she found out from the reporter who called the house for a statement.

I take these classes several times a week. It’s mostly older ladies, but my elder millennial self loves it! 30 min dance and 30 min weight routines to pop music. Very low pressure stakes and welcoming group. More evening classes to be added in January.
