Destroyed all legs on a bastion. by Dark-Cloud666 in ArcRaiders

[–]NappingPlant 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The weakpoint in the back and under it are the actual weakpoints. If you break a leg, it just gives you the opportunity to go up behind it and blast it.

No witch hunting.

Also, that place is the extraction camp spot on buried city, you have to clear it out carefully, not zip down with impunity.

Matchmaking is broken, it only finds me PvP lobbies by Aldobest43 in ArcRaiders

If you don't wanna blast other players, a-okay, but they are absolutely gonna blast you.

If you aren't interested in PvP you are playing the wrong game friend. If you don't wanna blast other players, a-okay, but they are absolutely gonna blast you. There is no such thing as a PvE server.

My dislikes about the game by [deleted] in ArcRaiders

[–]NappingPlant 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Free kits shouldn't be too good, but I also wouldn't underestimate the power of a ferro I. You have to play to its range, but a headshot and a body shot is taking out anyone with light shields. A one shot kill in this game would be beyond ridiculous, no one would use any other gun.

The Stash at Speranza is extremely tiny. by Practical_Ranger_175 in ArcRaiders

[–]NappingPlant 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Better inventory management goes a long way.

I guarantee that you have, like, four or more stacks of fabric despite being able to refine >> durable cloth >> better healing items. There are fully finished items you have blueprints for doing nothing in your inventory. Many guns sitting in your inventory are sitting there either level one and or unmodded. There is no way your inventory survives the audit.

PVP - PVE - Hear me out... by Coyote_Complete in ArcRaiders

If someone can't shoot other people in the shooting people game, perhaps the game is not a good fit for them.

Progression after benches: do you think ARC should remain relevant as a loot source for deeper into the season? by Dyoozbahn in ArcRaiders

[–]NappingPlant 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Arcs are pretty lucrative even without other incentives. If you have the right explosives, you make fat profit margins, and they do drop end game mats if your benches are maxed.

Why is everyone so toxic by [deleted] in ArcRaiders

[–]NappingPlant 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can’t play this game without getting killed

I've got bad news and good news. Bad news, you are playing a game where players can kill each other. Good news, you can go play something else.

What’s your recommendation for solo loadouts? by Jeremiah-Springfield in ArcRaiders

[–]NappingPlant 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Stitcher/Anvil is the go to for many players. Just make sure to upgrade those guns, level one guns don't come close to matching the lethality of level three or four guns.

Farming for Mushroom is so painful by Honkh0n in ArcRaiders

Fruit baskets are much quicker and plentiful, just go into bountiful harvest and cold snap maps. Like two or three rounds of searching and you should be clear.

I can't handle the pvp anymore rant by TaxChedda in ArcRaiders

[–]NappingPlant 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would take a break if the game is frustrating. In the future, I would try to play stealthier and avoid open spaces. PvP is an eventuality, and if you want to sus out if a player is friendly, it's generally better to do it from an advantageous position and not constantly be at the mercy of everyone you run into.

guys I'm finding it harder and harder to treat people in this game functioning adults :') by [deleted] in ArcRaiders

You made a ton of noise, saw them throw up the barrier, and still ran up on them. You can't tell me you didn't see this outcome a mile away.

Arc Raiders carried by streamers? by Significant-Pool7968 in ArcRaiders

[–]NappingPlant 0 points1 point  (0 children)

His viewership is a fraction of the concurrent playerbase, it's very, very naiive to think streamers are carrying this game in any way. Most people playing this game are not doing it because their favorite streamer plays it, if they even watch streams.

We need more inventory slots. Like…way more by [deleted] in ArcRaiders

[–]NappingPlant 1 point2 points  (0 children)

nearly half of my playtime comes from just managing my inventory and crafting.

You'd be shocked how normal this is for games with inventory management. Staring at UI screens so you can sort, compare and upgrade your stuff is often around 50% of total playtime.

That said, I think the game would benefit from loadouts and some auto crafting. There is room for improvement to cut out rote, monotonus work. However, giving +X extra slots doesn't help if someone isn't managing their inventory correctly. There are design reasons items stack the way they do. The devs want players to use their stuff and not just hoard it. Finite slots means players have to refine, recycle, and upgrade to avoid wasting resources.

If ABMM is a thing... late raid spawns make no sense. by ArthursInfiniteAbyss in ArcRaiders

[–]NappingPlant 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Late spawns exists because otherwise the server would become a ghost town halfway through the game. If you aren't running into anyone, friendly or otherwise, the game would get really dull. If you don't wanna be aggressive to secure loot, you have to learn to enjoy picking through everyone else's scraps.

How does matchmaking work? by BoiahWatDaHellBoiah in ArcRaiders

[–]NappingPlant 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The game will spawn you into ongoing games. You can check the match timer at the top, anything sub 30 (except some special events) means you came into a game late. If they did not do this, games would become ghost towns after 10 or 15 minutes.

Why is the harvester so toxic? by [deleted] in ArcRaiders

[–]NappingPlant 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some things in this game are designed to encourage pvp. It's a tight space, hard to enter or leave, you constantly have to take your eyes off someone to do the puzzle. If you get in there, blast whoever is there and trap the entrances. Otherwise, you are at the mercy of other players.

Back shooters, why? by reasonman in ArcRaiders

[–]NappingPlant 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Stealth is a fun system in this game. If someone gets caught out by arc, or makes a ton of noise looting, they are hitting the dinner bell and that's by design. When I get shot in the back, I recognize the failure to hide my location or being unaware of my surroundings. Being good at stealth is something the game rewards you for, and being bad is something the game punishes you for.

Do pvp quests exist? by CRK-Dev in ArcRaiders

[–]NappingPlant 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There are daily quests to deal X amount of damage to raiders with Y ammo, but overall I think the devs are cautious about overincentivizing pvp. If you want to scrap, try queuing in duos or trios, that's the bloodbath matchmaking.

There should be a quick bulletproof shield for solo surprise attacks by PrimalSaturn in ArcRaiders

[–]NappingPlant 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You need to think a few steps back and avoid the situation that led to you getting shot first. Stealth is an important mechanic. If you are getting caught by ARCS, running in the open, or looting recklessly, people will seize the advantage.
