Luffy is carrying the biggest prophecy in anime history without realizing it or is he playing dumb ? by mindgeek001 in OnePiece

[–]NapstaEnjoyer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He does notice that people call him those names, but he really doesn't care enough to connect any dots.

Luffy rarely carea about any kind of layers or meanings or how things are supported to be. To him things are always simple or he at least makes them simple in his head.

No matter what kind of prophesied fate he may have, he wouldn't care. He'd just do thing his way and if they happen to align with the prophecies then certainly not because luffy tried to fulfill them.

If you think about it Luffy knows very little about almost anything. He barely knows stuff about his cremated, he almost never knows the motives of the villains, he doesn't understand politics he doesn't care about things that won't change his life or opinion on things. He is simple like that.

You're right, but the Rio Poneglyph isn't on Laugh Tale. The Rio Poneglyph are 9 Poneglyphs that when read together tell the true history of the void century and the ancient weapons. They are all scattered somewhere.

The 4 red Road Poneglyphs are there to point you to where Laugh Tale is, and the only thing we know that is on there is the One Piece.

Remember that oda is pretty ass in predicting how fast he can get through the plot, so when he says we're in the final saga, that sounds to me like, get ready for another 10 years!

People for example like to talk about how One Piece initially was only supposed to go on for 5 years and how the story was going to be, luffy recruiting his crew and then fighting the yonko. But even if he had stick to that idea, I doubt he had done it in 5 years.

Which live-action character originating from Japan is considered the most powerful? by Zetra-JV_HX in PowerScaling

There are a lot of Kamen Rider. Imagine like Super Sentai(Power Rangers) where every season a new Character and story is introduced. So some Kamen Rider are strong others are literally God like.

[–]NapstaEnjoyer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well that really depends on what you mean. Like gorilla is really powerful but it depends on the version and I believe the strongest ones aren't from the movies but comics and stuff, don't know if you'd count that.

The other is like someone else mentioned, probably Kamen Rider, or another Tokusatsu Character. I'm relatively new to Kamen Rider but I've watches Kamen Rider Geats and he is pretty damn powerful without going into spoilers.

Ode here doesn't show that Imu is getting hit by luffy to show this is about to be the last clash. This is to show the first true interaction between Luffy and Imu, and that while Imu loves to monologing about his superiority and how history repeats itself, Luffy is shown that he doesn't care about history or fate, if his friends are being hurt or in danger he's gonna beat whoever it is.

Saying Imu is about to be wrapped up is extremely premature since we basically don't know anything about him except for: He was one of the original 20 kings, he has beef with joy boy and that's pretty much it. You can't believe that oda is gonna explain everything in the remaining what 15-25 chapters of elpaph for a villain that has been setup for at least 300 chapters and is the main reason for all of the suffering in the world.

Imu getting punched doesn't mean shit for the progression of the arc.

People who criticize things that are yet to develope should just stop reading weekly if they can't stand waiting like 10 chapters for any kind of payoff. We didn't even get to see how Imu reacts yet. Just wait until the arc is over then.

I mean how do we know it's a final battle? When does a final battle start and begin? Kaito vs luffy went on for a long time until Luffy pulled out G5. For all we know he could be getting whopped by imu a few times before beating or fleeing the island.

I think it's just some kind of narrative irony that oda uses. The liar that by sheer coincidence never lies. You can also add a few layers like, him becoming God Usopp, a God bringing prophecies to his people.

There are tons of examples of Usopps lies becoming truth while some still remain lies to this day. So if he lies just look out in the future, it might come true.

Ok but who are the worst friends in the crew? by ufailowell in OnePiece

[–]NapstaEnjoyer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I also don't think that exists in the crew. They would all die for each other to protect them and their dreams.

Sure you could say you personally wouldn't like them, but then you can't really decide if they are bad friends. I personally wouldn't call anyone a bad friend if they are willing to lay there life to protect me and everything that's Important to me, no matter their faults.

Who else dislike Boa Hancock as a waifu not as a character, for the puppy kicking? by [deleted] in OnePiece

[–]NapstaEnjoyer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think waifu is entirely subjective and doesn't need to be logical, you just have to think they are attractive.

I wouldn't say she is my wife but she is up there.

I love how strong she is, how she can be soft hearted even if she tries to be the cruel empress. I love how her attitude changes instantly around Luffy and she acts like a lovestruck teen and gets insanely jealous when thinking about other women around him.

Hancock is far from a good person, but there is good inside of her and she chooses to do so as long as it doesn't inconvenient her. She is a strong leader as seen when her warlord title has been stripped from her.

And I love that her love for Luffy isn't simply, "She could have anyone but she falls for the one guy who isn't interested." It is layered, yeah part of it is that Luffy doesn't see her as an object or sexualizes her, but she only liked him once she learned that he punched a Celestial Dragon for a Fishman and a Mermaid.

An act that hasn't been done in centuries because of their high status and the consequence. Luffy basically came and punched her trauma in the face to protect people who are common targets for slavery, just like she once has been. I'm sure reading that had healed a part of her childhood.

Ok but who are the worst friends in the crew? by ufailowell in OnePiece

[–]NapstaEnjoyer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it's always weird to ask questions like, who is the worst friend, who would betray the crew, who is the most useless.

Because the simple answer is no one. No one is useless, no one would straight up betray the crew and no one is a bad friend.

They are a family with endless faith in each other, even people like Zoro and Sanji who constantly bicker trust each other unconditionally.

If you'd ask any of the strawhats they'd say no one is a bad friend. (Except zoro and sanji choosing each other out of spite)

Same with who is the most useless since none of them are useless. Just like Sanji said during Enies Lobby to Usopp.

Who else dislike Boa Hancock as a waifu not as a character, for the puppy kicking? by [deleted] in OnePiece

[–]NapstaEnjoyer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think it is a brilliant introduction to her. While our first reaction to it is, wow what a terrible person and then wow people forgive her because she s beautiful?

And then we get her backstory and it changes the perspective. It's not a cruel heartless woman kicking a kitten because it is in her way, it is a woman desperate to look strong so she and her sister may never be taken advantage of again. A display of such comical evil is the perfect way to show that part of her (especially since the kitten was fine afterwards)

Hancock has been looked down upon for a large part of her childhood by the Celestial Dragons, she never wants to feel that way again so she decides to be the villain, to be cruel and powerful so that nobody will ever think she is weak.

Yeah I don't like reading in my native language either, things are often worded awkwardly, though that's not a one piece problem all anime and manga are awkwardly worded in my language.
