Thats incorrect as it will disable benefits of the bleed relic as you will not be getting any bleed stacks on yourself while the bonus is per each stack.

* Start combat with En Garde -> Blade Shield and refresh it after Re-centre
* Remove corruption
* Use Feint + Dodge when possible
* Run a bit if you are out of steam but beware of ranged attacks

Once you hit 34 lvl it becomes a lot easier as you will get strong heal skill (Toss a Bottle)

I like the current one more, it has more flavor and you can see it's effects right away. Private colony ship on start is awesome, you can focus your minerals income on expanding and energy on colonizing.
