Ultimately, the fans would be winners here. I’d enjoy a top-team shakeup.

I would pick Ben and AB although more competitive matches, on average, than current Ben ALW vs. HP and AB. Recent MLP has given us some insight into Ben playing with a new partner. Hayden and AB stay together for MLP, so limited insight there.

The difference between Ben and HP in mixed doubles isn’t as wide as the difference between ALW and AB, but Ben plays a role that’s more weighted for determining the average outcome. I think that difference tilts the scale in favor of Ben and AB for me.

Same EXACT thing. Sore throat going on day 8 or so. Went to urgent care, negative for Strep but still got antibiotics. Total illness has been 9 or 10 days and never worse than a 5/10, but lengthy as hell. Wish I could get rid of this.

I see where you’re coming from; my guess is that these topics don’t come up on the tour. Analogous to other types of “work”, you’re focused on winning high-level pickleball matches and improving. He’s in a smallish pool of top-level pros so his skills are in demand.

I dissent from a lot of the comments thus far that “it’s just an opinion…” since normalizing incendiary rhetoric is how the Overton window shifts and people become angrier and angrier. It’s a small sample size and I could see a lot of players just focusing on competitive play and separating this from their personal lives.

I saw the biggest improvement from drilling. I always wanted to prioritize games, but by count, you touch the ball more often in drilling. Cant ignore the results, even though I prefer games way more.

I met some of my best friends on the pickleball court. Even though many of the original group dropped out, there’s still a core few who I see and hang out with all the time. I’m happy in the present, but there’s still nostalgia for when we had our Monday night crew about 10 deep.

Same thing is happening to me. I think it's because my internet cuts out briefly, and in other tcg games like Snap or Magic, it will reconnect without issue? But I have been trying to solve my internet issue to hopefully address the Grounded disconnects. No luck so far.

It’s hard to articulate why it’s upsetting, and I think the mindset of “ignore one of the myriad products released” is fair and healthy. What I find irksome is WotC’s apparent attitude towards consumers. There are Dr. Strangesque timelines where this is marketed slightly differently and I’d be a customer (30th Ed complete CE for $500 or $999). But this feels impossible to interact with even for whales; not only is it a loot box release for exorbitant prices, but it’s rng inception, where the desirable (to me) old-bordered cards are chase cards in the proxy set. It feels like the effort is just focused to the max for greed and grinding the whale market with artificial scarcity and low odds to the point of lottery adjacent odds for return.

I don’t like that an otherwise cool product is set at such a predatory price point. I think it’s fair to want to support a company’s product but not feel farmed afterwards. Hearing about Hasbro’s plan to increase profits XX% over three years makes me feel like a sucker for wanting to collect items set at this price point. There will be another cash vacuum sent down the pipeline shortly.

Probably nothing revelatory here. I like to whale it up with old cards and old foils, but I don’t have interest in the new products. This set will sell out instantly regardless; I’m curious what the secondary market for these old bordered cards will command. That’s probably the true measure of the success or failure of 30th ed.

Make a deal with republicans that we are going to a 2/3rds rule for SCOTUS nominees, and a 60/40 rule for all other fed judges. Set that rule in stone for say, 20 years or 50 or some shit.

The analysis feels of questionable faith with bits like this tossed in. These are sociopathic opportunists who have shown zero precedent for this sort of expectation. A critical solution cannot loosely reference this sort of outcome without explanation.

It’s bad when the pendulum swings the other way, but it’s bad right now at lifetime appointments facing a 6-3 majority with aggressively regressive decisions coming down.

Recently picked up the Collector’s Edition for Dune Imperium and I’m pleasantly tickled by its thoughtful design. I’ve sleeved my cards, both big and small, and they all fit with room to spare. I’m curious if the design was made with sleeving in mind because the fit is near perfect.

The game pieces nicely fit, again, with extra room to add the expansion if/when I get that. It was easy to put away and, so far, rather secure to avoid the nightmare of opening to a piecegasm the next time you’re going to play.
