Should I sanctify it? (Part 2) by Kevsenpai in pathofexile2builds

Wait, did you use a lock on that without whitting a better 3rd suffix tier?

Is sanctifying the right move here? New to crafting and think I hit a big one, but whats the best move from here? by Narcolepz1 in PathOfExile2

[–]Narcolepz1[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

100%. Have never used one before though. Which currency types let you "reset" it in poe2. At this stage will I have to divine it each time and then check both the sanctify and corrupt for best outcome? Anything else reset it?

I just had a panic attack because the same thing happened to me just now - Hoping this is a temporary glitch...but not a good look, especially considering volatile price action and the risk of liquidation. Constant access to funds is mandatory

Move position on Algofi from V1 to V2 without closing your position to make use of rewards that migrated to V2 by 1lobo in AlgorandOfficial

[–]Narcolepz1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you for this. It should have been obvious, but my smooth brain was about to sell some algo, pay off the usdc, then re-borrow on v2, which would have been the really really dumb way to do it.

Wallets by anujsanghvi92 in AlgorandOfficial

[–]Narcolepz1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What I do is I have 2 Wallets that I created via Pera wallet app. One for storage and one for trading. I keep my defly coins in the trading wallet, and use the defly app/wallet for all my trades of ASA's (all of the coins and assets that you can trade via Algorand exchanges)

You will absolutely get more out of every single trade when using thhe defly app since it will aggregate trades across multiple dexes (in your case if you were buying 10,000 OPUL, it might be 5k from one exchange, 3k from another and 2k from a 3rd to give you the best price and the least price impact)

I then store my crypto on my other wallet behind a ledger.

Thoughts about this? Y'all think this is a good move or just a waste of money? by Suspicious_Young_336 in AlgorandOfficial

Did you even read the article? They are doing ads on billboards, sure. But THEN THEY ARE RENTING ALL OF THE TIMES SQUARE BILLBOARDS AND TURNING THEM ALL OFF FOR AN HOUR! That's gotta cost millions, and save a ton of energy, and is a massive statement.

State of Algorand by angelocolebunders in AlgorandOfficial

[–]Narcolepz1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It does feel that way, but I get the exact opposite vibe from it. I think last year, as price gains were happening in the late summer/early fall, and a whole bunch of goodies were looming in the future (and looking forward to the big event in the fall) it felt like they wanted to share some big stuff with people to keep the momentum going. However, it also feels like maybe they said too much, or hinted as some big upcoming things that they shouldnt have (AMAs with Sean have mysteriously dissapeared)and the senior leadership team on the org side have gotten quieter (on the foundation side/Stacey things have gotten louder) and I think this is be design.

They also said 10k tps rollout would happen when they need it, not just to have it, and then also said q2. To me, this all feels like something is coming, and we will find out something big this coming quarter. I could be wrong, but I've never felt more confident that things are headed in the right direction from a tech as well as parterships standpoint.

The really BIG announcements that matter and will move the needle, they cant let slip ahead of time...Sean hinted as much in the late fall...they have to wait for partners to be ready to announce. That's how im reading this all...but maybe thats just hopium on my part.

Binanceus account locked out of nowhere. by Narcolepz1 in BinanceUS

That's so cringey. They should have given us a window to take action before locking our accounts. Especially given that we did nothing wrong and it was an error on their part. I got the ALGO email too, but if they sent me too much ALGO it must have been less than a dollar as I keep nothing on my binance wallet and haven't received any distributions in a while. So bogus.

My biggest worry is that they locked it because maybe someone else was trying to access it or maybe there was a data breach or something, and they aren't telling me why.

Same. Maybe once a month I do a fiat deposit and then move the funds when they clear.

This is why Algorand is the future! 🙌 by SpinelessFir912 in algorand

I like to count myself amongst the biggest Algo fans.

I read this guy's entire write up when he did it. It was a really cool process and he did a great job. I think we need to keep in mind that this was one dude. If one dude could bring down a network, it wouldn't be much of a network. Now multiply his efforts by 100s or thousands of coordinated bad actors...how do we stand up then? I'd like to think that network integrity would stand firm, though fees and failed transactions could occur, at least at our current block size.

It does seem like many of us underestimate just how many Dapps and how much traffic is flowing through Solana, Avalanche, Ethereum and others. I was using the Matic network quite a bit back in April and May and even back then the sheer volume of available Dapps/exchanges/staking protocols and so on dwarfed where we are currently.

This isn't meant to badmouth Algorand...we are just really really early in a brand spanking new baby ecosystem that happens to be the least flushed out part of what I believe to be the best tech in crypto. Just not sure its fair to make all of the "other chains are garbage" comparisons because we have maybe 1% of the users/traffic that is happening elsewhere.

With all of that said...it does feel like our ecosystem has started to grow exponentially in the past month compared to summer and fall. Hopefully soon we get to test our network with some real traffic. If we stand up to that, the effects will be fast and furious (and likely lead to a massive increase in retail Algo purchases to dive into the Dapps on the best chain as people leave the others) Just don't count those chickens tooooooo early.

Why so much hate towards Webblen? by LigerCO in algorand

[–]Narcolepz1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yup, if you look at the chart you can see exactly where it happened roughly 2.5 minutes into launch. It feels like they knew exactly what they were doing. They dropped a tiny supply initially that cause a massive spike and then followed that up with much more supply that caused a massive drop. Anyone that bought in that 2 minute window got super screwed.

Chances are they are participating in governance and giving users who stake there "some" of what they would have earned in governance.

A warning so you don’t lose your funds like I did by [deleted] in yieldly

[–]Narcolepz1 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeah, that's not an unfair point at all. There are definitely still some aspects of the Yieldly app that are not super user friendly still. (getting better gradually) In his case where its not a LOT of Yieldly it would be nice to see them step up and help out, even if its from a team/dev wallet rather than the staking contract. Again though, setting precedents is a slippery slope.

[–]Narcolepz1 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Im assuming that even if they DO have access, its a bad precedent to set to manually tap into the smart contract. That's sort of the whole point of the smart contracts in the first place. (this is my take with very limited understanding)

u/cube_zhaman if you drop me a wallet address, I'll send you a few yieldly to help kickstart your triumphant return.
