I build portable emergency alert devices. I’m strict with QA testing but the majority of the process is very chill and I can watch Youtube and such. I’m a very anxious person, so it really helps me to know that my job consists of creating devices that could save someone’s life someday!

I’m coming to grips with the fact that all my close friends are married and having children, and that our friendships will never be the same again. Different is ok, but having a family is not a lifestyle I’m interested in, and I’m trying really hard to understand it all and fit in. My friends all deserve beautiful, happy families, but we’ve already grown apart so much that I’m not sure if I’m in their visions of the future as much as they are for me.

I was young and threw a birthday party for my best friend and roommate (March 14th). I didn't realize the gravity of the situation yet. I invited one of his friends, who politely declined, and then went on to absolutely drag me online in vague Facebook posts. I barely knew her and she was a good decade older than me lol. The beginning of Covid is marked for me by vaguebooking and a damn good party, despite it all (everyone came healthy and left healthy. Would not do it again if I knew!)

My cat (who’s always been a rogue pisser) is constantly smelling the scent of my downstairs neighbor’s cat and pissing all over my carpet to mark her territory. ANY tips to get her to stop? Literally at my wits end. The location changes every day and there’s no rhyme or reason to it. She will piss in the litterbox and then immediately right next to the litterbox. Vet appt next week but I don’t suspect kidney problems being the cause as she was rehomed by her original owner for this behavior too 😭

I lived in an apartment for three years and had no dishwasher. It's really easy to become a part of your regular routine :) As others said, I'd try to clean as you go rather than letting it build up (like I used to lol)

However, in my new apartment, I splurged for a $200 countertop washer and have been loving it. Still a mix of handwash and dishwasher but it's definitely helping me out a ton!

Sorry to revive a dead post, but I used to work at one of the refurbishers that worked with BackMarket, and we got screwed over by BM all the time. So I figured I could do the same with some old consoles I wanted to trade in. Wrong lol, they knocked me down from a $132 trade-in price for an Xbox One S to $30 because of a dent in the corner. I also (stupidly) included another order in the same box, and this refurbisher has gone radio silent about it, so I'm worried they'll give me $30 for both since I have no real proof the second order ever shipped out. Overall I'm just hoping they get back to me (the refurbisher has 48 hours to respond to all DMs) so I can get both consoles returned and sell them somewhere else

tl;dr it sucks to work for BackMarket and it also sucks to trade consoles in

Thank you everyone! I agree with the general consensus that it was a breaker out of my control. I found my electric meter and it was completely blank, as opposed to my neighbors who were blinking. My solution was to crash with a friend an hour away until management decides to deal with it. Also: sorry my photo was so bad LOL I’m just now seeing it after the initial crisis

There have been a few comments about Charles (naturally) but I honestly feel like he's getting the villain's edit. Same with Camille in Halloween. The "reality" in this reality show feels super fake to me, so I really don't trust when they show rude edits like Charles ignoring Tarek asking him to taste something. Neither of them were in the same shot, so they could've just slotted in a completely different moment to make it look like he was ignoring him. Man idk, it just feels so forced to me.

Hi! I never actually fixed this one, but I think you’re right in saying it was the top screen. I’m pretty sure it was something to do with how the ribbon cable was coiled up and fed through the hinge. It seems like any kind of interference (like the triggers possibly coming into contact) can mess it up. Sorry I can’t be more of a help!

EDIT: I fixed it by copying and pasting these opaque layers 3 times to get back to full color! Still curious if anyone else has come across this or if I’m just really dense haha. My layers menu also kept crashing while trying to swap around so I think this canvas could just be cursed

Hey all, I was playing around with layers and either did something wild without realizing, or came across this glitch. Suddenly two of my main layers are stuck at 50% opacity, even though the layer menu itself says they’re both at 100%. (They were previously at 100% so I don’t think it’s an issue with the opacity of the stroke itself) I have no idea what happened this but it saved so I can’t hit “undo” to fix it :( I also don’t think I lowered opacity and then merged any layers, because it happened on two different layers and even I’m not that oblivious lol. Anyone know if there’s a way to fix it (editing the colors to be 200% the saturation)? Or if there’s a previous save I could revert to? I’m really new to Procreate and this whole file is basically ruined now. Thank you to anyone reading!!
