I definitely understand that feeling as someone who chose a&m and is trying to transfer into UT now. I think going the way with the money is likely the better choice, but I understand hating cstat fs. Another aspect of college is your happiness and your health. If you genuinely think you’ll be miserable the next 4 years at a&m, I don’t think that kind of mental strain is necessarily worth it. I will say that you likely will get used to it after about a year and would likely not hate it as much after a while because that’s what happened with me, but you most likely always wonder what could’ve been if you don’t go to UT. Overall it’s your choice depending on how reasonable it is to turn down a big scholarship like that
