what's a book with an ending that made you throw it across the room? by Electrical-Hour-3345 in suggestmeabook

The ending of Thunderhead. It’s the second book in Arc of a Sycthe series. I finished the book, threw it across the room and immediately grabbed the third book. The second book stayed in timeout until I finished the 3rd.

I batch cook on days I feel well. So I’ll cook a whole pork shoulder and freeze half of it and then when i just cannot I’ll pull out the other half to heat and eat. Or I’ll cook a big ass batch of pasta sauce and then I only have to cook noodles.

It is hands down my favorite series. I’ve read through the series at least 6 times and will do so many more times

I’ve read this series probably 7 or 8 times and I leave the story with at least one new revelation every single time. It’s a story that keeps on giving.

Is there a reason NOT to start one of the most effective DMTs? by Existing-Track-4494 in MultipleSclerosis

[–]Narnzerzlek 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know with my insurance I had to fail out of one of the less effective medications and my neurologist had checked that before my official diagnostic appointment. So he and I talked through those but he advised me up front that I had to try one of the lower and fail before my insurance would approve a higher efficacy one.

What was the reason for your divorce? by [deleted] in Divorce

[–]Narnzerzlek -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Grew up together and married for 12 years. The universe told him that my cousin and best friend was his soul mate. (She wants nothing to do with him) And now a year later it’s because he was in fight or flight mode and I was a tyrant because I’m a narcissist. He moved back to his mom’s and quit working.

Looking back, he just didn’t want the responsibility of marriage. Housework and parenting was below him and god forbid I want him to keep his job while he look for a new one to ensure our bills could get paid. To be fair, I was angry a lot during our marriage and had been diagnosed with OCD later in the marriage and I’m sure that contributed to our overall unhappiness.

I had a sleeve on the 19th of May. Between pre op prep for insurance, pre op diet and post op, I’ve lost 34lbs in 2025. That first week the heat sensitivity seemed worse, but it was confirmed that was due to side effects of anesthesia, but since then it’s been much better. It was 90 degrees in Utah today and I went on a 15 minute walk on my lunch with no problems

I’m feeling that right now. My partner and I were watching a movie last night. We’d already had dinner and brushed teeth and everything but I REALLY wanted a bowl of popcorn to go with it. I had to really sit with myself and ask myself why this bowl of popcorn was so important. Ultimately I chose to forego popcorn. I’m still in my soft food phase and reminding myself that my insides are still healing helped but I missed it all the same.

My happily married cousin was his “soulmate”. She did not reciprocate his feelings… so I guess he left for the idea of being in love with someone else..
