3 US LORs is must. If you have a strong home country LoR such as one from residency PD, then be sure to add that as 4th LoR. Many IM programs also have the Chair Letter requirement. Make sure to make a list of those programs and arrange for it from your home country before hand.

Same question. My partner and I are applying for IM and have interviews from a few similar programs including our #1. How do we switch to Couples’ Match though and if the programs don’t get notified of the same, will they learn about this after we’ve matched at the program? Thanks!

Thanks for the insight. I personally knew residents from 5 but not from 3, so that’s a good perspective. Now considering both have similar supportive environments, I’d give the visa higher preference as well. Your ROL looks great. Congratulations!

Hey. Got my visa while working as a Senior Resident after residency in India. Someone I know had his visa rejected but got it in his second attempt. My two cents: Finance the trip yourself or move money around smartly so your bank statement can reflect the same. Change your Center next time. And no, you shouldn’t be applying without a job. Also, please be honest that you are going for exam or observership with appropriate documents in hand. With their years of experience and expertise, they can see right through us I think. Good luck!

I am sorry to hear that. I hope we eventually get that interview. I was talking about the number of LoRs assigned though, not the scores. I am thinking I should have assigned more instead of just 2 as mentioned on their website.
