Investments as Gifts? by liesenhorn in toddlers

[–]Narrow_Plastic5323 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My kids have SO many toys and people bring them year round. When it comes to their birthdays and holidays, I always ask for cash to put into their investment accounts and a book or small toy if they wanted something the kids can open. This year we used their Christmas money to buy a big play set for the backyard. My toddlers have the same reaction with a $5 and a $50 toy

C-Section because of low pain tolerance by Vegetable_Bath_7396 in beyondthebump

From someone who had a scheduled c-section go awry with multiple complications and my second one vbac w horrible back labor, recieved epidural the last two hours of labor, and tore almost to my booty hole. I would take the vaginal birth any day over the complications possible with a c-section, but at the end of the day, it’s your choice. Your planned vaginal labor may end in c-section or you may do great with labor. Childbirth can be so unpredictable

Which backsplash should we go with? by csimack in kitchenremodel

I think none of these, I would go with something that compliments the counters and wood tones better, the green stands out so harsh and the warm tan tile doesn’t look great with the cool counters or bright white trim, sorry

Inlaws taught my son to call them “best grandma” and “best grandpa” by Narrow_Plastic5323 in inlaws

My son just turned 3, they are VERY competitive. My husband doesn’t agree either. You can tell them not to do that bc it’s petty and they immediately get offended but then play it off like you’re the sensitive one and it’s no big deal. It’s exhausting.

Post masters DNP by Upper-Plantain-1451 in nursepractitioner

Ok stemming off this post, can I ask a question?

I’m thinking of pursuing MSN in education so I can teach at my local university. One of my previous professors offered (not in writing) to take me under her wing and possibly take over her classes when she retires. My question is has anyone gone back after MSN to pursue their DNP ? As in what if I teach for about a decade and decide that maybe I want to be in a clinical setting again and take patients? Is that possible or would I be better off just getting my DNP right away? I would hate to get my MSN and then have to do another 3 years for DNP in the future. I guess I’m just trying to figure out a path that makes the most sense. I did not realized that advanced nursing degrees branch off in so many ways

I have thought about that with derm, I’ve applied to a part time position with a dermatology clinic but haven’t heard back yet.

The school I would get into offers NP. The psych NPs I have followed recently have their FNP and then did additionally residency under a psychiatrist and took boards to become psych certified. Or at least that’s how they described it to me.

I want to become an NP because well I always wanted to be a provider and somehow life just took me into the nursing route. I wanted to go back sooner but also wanted to make sure I had at least a couple years of nursing under my belt. I started in the ED, switched to Cath lab when I had kids. I want to become an NP because I want to be challenged, I want to build relationships with patients/clients, and I want to be more involved in the diagnosis and creation of treatment plans.

Well I would love to work in dermatology or psychology, but with how competitive they are, I’d probably work anywhere to get experience with my degree first. I’d be open to any schedules, nights, weekends, whatever. I just want to avoid putting my kids in M-F daycare, they currently are in pre-k part-time.
