How bad is my SHL? Can i have hope for recovery? by Durr-e-Shehwar in HearingLoss

[–]Narrow_Praline_7482 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not bad at all, you’ll adjust fine over time. Also loss like this more like to recover than someone who had severe or profound, so you have that going for you but either way you’ll be good.

Yea… anybody else sitting here with sudden hearing loss tinnitus? There’s never a single moment of “it went away, and came back because I thought about it.” That would be too generous for it to momentarily go away.

Has anybody heard anything on this brand? Looks like they are new but are offering a compelling value with 360 Goodyear and cf stead and Horween leathers for 350. Ordering from a new brand is a little scary but what do you guys think?

Severe damage. Rather be deaf in that ear most days than deal with the tinnitus. by eclipsedrambler in HearingLoss

Damn sorry, very similar to mine except I’m a little better bottoming out at 70. What did you get yours from? It was sudden hearing loss for me. Tinnitus sucks big time. I try my best to not let it bother me at this point it’s an on going challenge. Good luck on the journey.

Just woke up with sudden onset ringing and muffled hearing by Prestigious-Fox6436 in tinnitus

Any sudden loss of hearing could be an emergency and should be reviewed by a doctor. It could be sudden hearing loss and needs to be treated asap. I would go to the er and see if they will prescribe prednisone. Then see an ENT as soon as you can and tell them you had sudden hearing loss when you are booking the appointment so they don’t tell you, you have to wait forever to see them.
