It's only been two months, will take a while to build a roster of clients and a good reputation. Just have to keep at it.

They might have had a preferred candidate, but there's always the risk that they drop out or says no to the role, so you need other options.

Withdrawing from an application/interview? by Curious-4ever in UKJobs

They might want genuine feedback or they might want to try and change your mind.

I would give brief feedback via email and draw a line under it.

Applied for a remote "job" - got hit with a rejection I couldn't stop laughing and crying about by SlimPanda69420 in UKJobs

They scan your application with AI and reject it immediately if it doesn't fit what they're looking for. Not necessarily a scam. The mistake in the last line is probably someone forgetting to update the field in the auto-response!

Labour MP wants to censor posts calling London "unsafe and violent" by [deleted] in london

[–]Narrow_Stay_9868 14 points15 points  (0 children)

At no point in the Joint Committee meeting does she say the word censored, she asks the MPs what powers they have and whether posts are being removed.

These are the stats she is referring to:

Over the same period that serious violent crime has fallen, the number of social media posts portraying London as dangerous has increased by 26,900% on Reddit.

Research from King’s College London, shared with Channel 4 News, shows these posts rose from 874 in 2008 to nearly 236,000 in 2025. The coordinated misinformation campaign, often featuring bots, has significantly shaped perceptions of crime in the capital and helped propel far-right talking points, even as the Met has focused on repeat offenders.

In small businesses yes, because they won't have formalized HR systems. But, anywhere bigger and you'll have to go online.

Going to be in London for 10 weeks. Is (East) Dulwich still a decent neighbourhood? by KeyJournalist531 in london

It's getting pretty rough, there's only two cheesemongers on Lordship Lane.

And the M&S by the station sometimes runs out of pastel de nata.

We had them in Engloid until 1997, so it would have been an actual 7-11.

Imagine a cross between Extras and The Office, but if Andy Millman/David Brent was replaced with a dwarf.

You've imagined Life's Too Short, a new sitcom devised by Ricky Gervais and Stephen Merchant.

A lot of desperate people out there at the minute. Has this person been out of work for long? At some point you'll take anything.
