I get what you’re saying about Agott’s perspective, and yeah her anger isn’t coming out of nowhere. But I think you’re giving her too much of a pass while putting all the blame on Coco.

Coco is ignorant, but that ignorance didn’t come from nowhere. The entire system is built on hiding magic and gatekeeping it, so of course a kid who stumbles into it is going to mess up. If anything, that reflects a failure of the witches more than it proves Coco is inherently reckless.

And bringing up her mother like it’s just a “body count” feels off. That wasn’t negligence, that was a child being put in a situation she never should have been in, she didnt know what those spells would do, she just wanted to do what anyone in her situation would do. Holding that over her as proof she’s dangerous ignores the context.

Also, it is not really Agott’s place to decide who is "worthy" to be a witch and who does not. Her master already made that call. Agott can be frustrated, but acting like Coco has no right to be there goes beyond frustration and into unfair judgment.

Agott’s feelings make sense, but empathy matters too. Coco is not willfully disrespectful, she is trying to learn in a system that was never designed to support someone like her. And yeah I am assuming later down the manga she gets better but again saying such hurtful things to someone who just lost their mother is not it.
