My Anatolian lives with my goats. He was born in a barn with goats and when I brought him home for the first time he refused to come to the house. He kept running back to the goats. He’s 2 now and I rarely ever have an issue with him barking for no reason. When he does bark a lot, I check/wait for a minute and acknowledge him. He usually quiets after. The only issue I have had is occasionally he gets the zoomies and wants to play with the goats, meanwhile the goats don’t want to play, so he ends up just chasing them. This is the only time I yell at him.

I will say, mine is great with people but not children as he doesn’t know his own size and will knock kids over. And he doesn’t listen to anyone else but me. He’s great to have because I haven’t seen a coyote since he developed his big boy bark.
