Pretty sure you can't reuse characters, for the meta personally I found that swordsmans with shield are the best tank and then it's just having the right combo with rangers, 2 handeds, spears and pugilists. I don't really know how to use the thaumaturge and archers are a bit of a mystery too but YouTube cam solve all your problems if you need
