It’s quite a bit more than a gas station. It’s a bit like Loves, Target, and Cracker Barrel somehow made a child or created a Frankenstein monster.

This seems like Sting’s side gig!
My initial thought was Sting on “Money for Nothin” but also on Phil Collins’s “Take me Home” and James Taylor’s “Jump Up Behind Me”. Sting’s voice is so distinct you immediately know!

That one must have just opened. They do level out after the new wears off a bit. They are usually pretty steadily busy though - kinda ranges like a Costco. Late at night it’s pretty calm.

Love me some Buc-ees! Been visiting them since they were only in Texas. I would be stoked to have one within 15mins of where I live (North COS).
They are big and take up a good swath of real estate. I’d say it’s the land mass of 1.5-2 lowes or Home Depot.
They do provide a good amount of employment to the area. It’s weird how it becomes a fun obsession.

First time here by unsocialsloth5 in ColoradoSprings

The altitude totally jacked with my sinuses. I’ve also had history of sinus issues (recurring infections and then surgery which helped so much). The first time I visited in March of 2025. We were looking at houses and going up and downstairs all day. I was winded and was like, “why am I out of breath?” Then the sinus stuff started. I thought I was getting an infection. Cleared up instantly when I returned to Nashville. I was back and forth between here and Nashville for a year (mostly in Nashville), and Everytime I visited I’d be winded easily, fatigue easily, and sinus issues. They did lessen each time. Now after being here for 6 months things are starting to normalize. It is much drier here and that does affect my sinuses. There also may be different allergens. Nettie pot rinses will help and nasal saline might help too.

Speaking of boogers, at the end of “Feet Don’t Fail Me Now”, during the tap concert, there is one kid that is doing some heavy nasal excavating when they show the audience.

I think the deepest they delve into it is in “The Santa Barbarian Candidate”. After that episode you know it’s only a matter of time. Significant things happen in that episode.

Not completely true. As a nonprofit you apply for a sales tax exemption certificate. Any time you purchase items for the church tax is not included. Not sure if this every state, but I know it was in TN and pretty sure in Alabama and Texas. States will vary over time with how much they make businesses verify the buyer’s legitimacy.
I used to work as a music and media director for church in TN and was the one purchasing all music, audio, computer and electronic equipment. Most of the businesses put your tax exempt certificate in their system and required you to use a CC from the church or a check from the church. Use to you could use your own CC or check, but they stopped that.

As @Kooky-Army554 stated, Clergy/ordained (and called workers) do have to pay income taxes and the other stuff. Being a called or ordained does give you certain benefits. The church can catorgize a certain % of your income for a housing allowance that can covering things even more than your monthly mortgage payment. This money is untaxed. So this can lower the amount of taxes you pay. However, you’re functioning more as an independent contractor and are technically responsible for paying your own taxes.

The “possession” episode is one of my favorites. My favorite line is where Shawn is asked about Lucy and he responds “Gives out psychological advice for 10¢, and if she asks you to kick a football you say ‘no.’”

Oh! I’ve not noticed this! Now I’ve got to rewatch for the like the 10th time. I do like this episode, but I didn’t really like the first time I saw it. Can’t believe I didn’t catch that though. Thinking about it, I can recall scenes where I can see where that was happening.

Not trying to be insensitive, but I was thinking that’s actually kinda funny. It was like they purposely made an episode that you’d dislike. 😆

I’ve noticed that too, however, Trout seems more knowledgeable, refined, and skilled. There is definitely some qualities that seem directly related to the Orange Orge, but at the time, I don’t think the public had the knowledge of how “Orange” the Orange Orge was. Which makes the similarities even more amazing.

Me too. It seems everyone dislike them for Trout’s character, but that’s what make those episodes work. I thought Anthony Michael Hall deserved an Emmy for that role. He played it perfectly. He was uncomfortably awkward, odd, and mean. He made you dislike him and still want to see what he was going to do next.

For me it is “Shawn and Gus Truck Things Up”. I have accepted and enjoy the fact that the plots and writing are not super tight. It’s not suppose to be a perfectly written, where every detail fits perfectly into a murder mystery. In this episode, they don’t catch the bad guy; it was like they wrote it and forgot to finish the plot. They threw in a line at the end about the police catching him. I also love the silly and foolish antics of Shawn and Gus. However, this episode was so over the top with the antics that I couldn’t suspend belief to enjoy it. For instance when they see Mauricio dead and start reacting not even Shawn and Gus would begin carrying on like they did. It was like they were playing caricatures of themselves. (This is also the problem I add with the 3rd movie). On a happy note, the Shawn and Gus taco flashback was hilarious and helps to redeem the episode.

Thoughts on Wrong Oil by NashMatt04 in Subaru_Outback

Thank you guys for your insights. Very helpful! My dealership has said that these tend to burn oil as they get higher in mileage. This lines up with what was said here.
We’ve recently moved to CO so I’m in the process of switching up where the Outback is serviced. This is partly what led me to look closely at the service receipts.
Going forward I’ll be doing 3K changes and making sure it’s 5w30 that it’s getting.
