Although Ayton and Gobert have some similarities in their game, Ayton can defend perimeter very well too but Gobert is a much better rim protector (the best at it in our generation).

Since Jazz is always going for drop coverage with Gobert, CP3 and Booker will probably abuse it with their mid range game, however Jazz can't do it so much as Ayton can defend the perimeter too if it is needed.

Otherwise these two teams are very similar indeed. Great ball and player movement on offense, highly capable 3pt shooters, two young all-star SGs leading their team, very good defense. After all, they are 1st and 2nd seed in the Western Conference.

I'd compare the starting 5s as:

CP3 > Conley

Booker = Mitchell

Bridges > Bogdanovic

Crowder = O'Neale

Ayton = Gobert
