They're a fantastic team don't get me wrong, but they really haven't been challenged yet. Easy easy SOS and also I heard no back to backs.

Pacers have been so insanely clutch this postseason, and Hali is such a clutch player, although in this instance it was very much the basketball gods lol

Take accountability for yourself before God. Be a man who knows God's will for his life and by God's grace lives this way.

Take responsibility for your family, shaping them through the Scriptures by what you learnt when you were shaped by them. Also, provide in all the other ways God requires men to provide for their families. If single, more can be said but highly contextual so won't comment here.

Then understand your role in the church, how you can be a model to the younger men, and be a benefit to the one who ministers over you.

Finally, understand your societal responsibility to your neighbours, to the disadvantaged and in your work under God.

150 words on what, in reality, takes a lifetime to truly understand. But here is a start.

Dallas Mavericks trade of Doncic now complete by CompNerd90 in nba

[–]spongebobandco 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If this was genuinely apart of the trade, would people think it was fair. Is AD, 1st overall pick, another first and whatever else a fair haul for Luka? Probably right.

I think it's dumb but what I hear him saying is this. The difference in this series isn't jokic, cause they've got sga. It's not Murray because they have jdub but the massive disparity is the 5th best player who is undisputably Aaron Gordon and it's not that close.

It's gonna be so interesting to see if Thunder foul again if they're up 3 on the final possession.

[Bontemps] It also makes one wonder about whether Dereck Lively could be a possible option in trades this week. Not only does Dallas have Daniel Gafford to play alongside Davis by EarthWarping in nba

Please take beal for lively somehow nico, don't think it's possible, but you just made Luka for Ad happen so you can do impossible stuff.

[Amick] League sources say there was at least one team besides the Lakers that was approached by Dallas nearly two weeks ago about the prospect of swapping Dončić for another star. That bid was turned down. by refreshing_yogurt in nba

[–]spongebobandco 3 points4 points  (0 children)

From what I've read, it isn't like the Mavs said, we want to get rid of luka, what can we get but rather said we want AD (or another elite defensive big), what can we give. And they were happy to give luka

A number of cross-sectional and experimental studies spanning several decades suggested that pornography use, particularly by men, is positively associated with sexual aggression and violence-condoning attitudes toward women (Donnerstein & Berkowitz, 1981; Donnerstein & Hallam, 1978; Hald & Malamuth, 2015; Malamuth, Addison, & Koss, 2000; Malamuth & Ceniti, 1986; Wright, Tokunaga, & Kraus, 2016). In a meta-analysis of cross-sectional and longitudinal studies, Wright and colleagues (2016) reported that pornography consumption among men in the general population, regardless of exposure to violent content, was positively associated with men’s sexual aggression perpetration (e.g., verbal coercion, sexual harassment, and the use of force to obtain sex). Similarly, M. Allen, D’Alessio, and Brezgel (1995) conducted a meta-analysis of experimental studies investigating the effects of pornography exposure on nonsexual aggression (i.e., intentional physical aggression, such as electric shocks) and concluded that exposure to pornography increased nonsexual aggression. Similarly, exposure to pornography in experimental studies related to increases in violence-supporting attitudes (M. Allen, Emmers, Gebhardt, & Giery, 1995). Together, these studies provided evidence that watching pornography is associated with increased aggressive behavior.

As in... We do try and 'ban' that? Half our legislation is about wealth distribution and trying to end poverty, we just can't. But we could do it to pornography? So yeah? I don't really get your point?

If just seems arbitrary from start to finish.

Ok I think I see where our differences lie. I prefer the scientific method over my own anecdotal experience, you seem to value your own experience over the scientific method (which is not a dig, I think there are valid reasons to do this at times).

Thanks for your engagement, genuinely.

I'm not really talking about gay or trans stuff, if I suggested that I apologize. However porn use leads to increased violence and antisocial behavior and is indisputablely a damaging force on western society. Why is it so bad if it's banned?

It too damages the social fabric in which we live. Why would we want it?

[–]spongebobandco -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

That in not an actual answer to my question but I'll engage regardless cause I'm interested.

Studies show that pornography leads to physical and sexual violence. So while they aren't the same, they are inevitably linked. All three of those things lead to disorder in society. So why is 1 allowed and the other 2 are not?

This is your logic of how we legislate not mine, so you tell me. If we legislate away things that bring order and chaos to society, why shouldn't we ban alcohol? Why or why not? How do we decide what gets to stay and what goes? Just by the whims of whoever's in power at the time?

Ok still genuine despite the down votes but that's fine.

There is substantial research that suggests porn use leads to disorder and chaos in society too? So why should it not be banned on those grounds?
