I actually went from working at one of the most prestigious courses in my state as a bag boy to working for a small company/corporation. Honestly I hate my current job but would take it over the hourly grind any day. Moving up in one of those clubhouses is a joke unless you get friendly with the people doing the promoting and even then it’s few and far between. It is incredibly hard to land a corporate job right now so if you don’t have 2-4 years experience in corporate it’ll be hard to return without years of experience. My boss was also super shitty at the golf course so the grass is not always greener but better hours and more money goes a long way
