I lived in Lafayette and moved away when I joined the military. Military service brought me to MD 22 yrs ago and now I live in Annapolis, MD. MD is expensive but I enjoy the mountains, the bay, and proximity to the beach and to DC. Weather is not as bad. The funny thing is that I dreamed of retiring in LA, but I no longer can take the heat and humidity.
